As many of you know I have a cat named Muffin. Sandy and I have had Muffin for 18 1/2 years. Well today after a long battle I had to take Muffin for his last vist to the vet. Sandy and I will miss him with all our heart. He was and and always be my little buddy...

Nat & Sandy,

I am so sorry to hear of this sad news. As many of you know I lost 2 kitties this past year, what has helped me get through are the other kitties we still have and remembering the little quirky things they use to do, along with the love they use to give us. I still find myself calling their names when I am calling the others. I know this will probably sound odd to some people, but not to others, I have framed pictures of them on my mantle and sometimes I find myself walking by and saying I miss you both. Remember the love, the comfort, the meows and the funny little things that all cats have done that you never forget. I send my prayers, my thoughts and my love to both of you.

I was lucky enough to have met Muffin on several occasions and he was a cool cat. Smart enough to stay just outside of Chloe's reach when teasing her. Also he was trained to sing every morning before breakfast. I am sure you have 18 1/2 years of wonderful memories Nat and Sandy. We are sending Pixie Dust your way and keeping you both in our thoughts and prayers on this difficult day.

very very sorry, Nat. That is such a tough thing to do. My thoughts are with you and Sandy. Take care.

Sorry to hear that. Pets give us unconditional love and ask nothing in return. Now he is no longer in pain.

I know how much you guys adored that cat. I am sorry to hear about your loss.

To lose a pet such as Muffin that has been a part of yours and Sandy's life for so long is heartbreaking...but he will be w/ you forever in the memories he has left..

We lost our two maltese one 22 yrs, and one 18 years w/in the last few years, and after having them be a part of your life pattern, it is like they are still here..and sometimes that can be comforting after the fresh sorrow is gone..

Sending lots of thoughts, and pixie dust your way.

Donna

Nat and Sandy, very sorry to hear about your loss. I'm sure I met Muffin last Memorial Day unfortunately I do not remember him. Sending lots of PD your way.

I'm sorry to hear about poor Muffin. I once lost a faithful siamese named Ray. My whole family adored him and we were so sad to see him go. My deepest consolences to you and your family.

Sandy and Nat, I was so sorry to hear about Muffin...:( I know how it feels to lose a beloved pet, but know you will have lots of happy memories.

So sorry to hear this. I know how it felt when we had to do the same many years ago, and it stunk. The vet wrote us a nice letter which I still have.

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{Nat & Sandy}}}}}}}}}}}}} I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I've had to do the same and know how awful that empty feeling in your heart is. I will keep you and Muffin in my prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know how you feel as I have lost three babies.
My last Cat, Tabby, we lost when we were evactuated from our home during the fires of 1998. We left him at a friends home on their porch. He got out and we never saw him again. I went to the Humane society everyday for over 2 months. Also our pretty beagle Katie was killed by a hit and run driver, then our first pet, a kitty named Tuffers. He was such a sweetie. He died in my arms.

It is truely a painful experience. My prayers are with you.

Many blessings,
Winnie

Nat & Sandy - I truly feel for you. The love for and of a pet cannot be described - it is so special.

I lost my almost 16yo cat Panky last Fall, and I just found out a few weeks ago that my 8 month old kitten Chunker has a fatal disease (severe pulmonary hypertension).

It is so hard to watch them suffer, but please know in your heart that you did the right thing.

Hugs and pixie dust to you.

~Nancy~

If it should be that I grow frail and week
and pain should keep me from my sleep
Then you must do what must be done
For this, the last battle, can't be won.

You will be sad-I understand
Don't let your grief then stay your hand
For this day, more than all the rest
Your love and friendship stand the test

We've had so many happy years
What is to come can hold no fears
You'd not want me to suffer,
So when the time comes, please let me go.

I got to the gate of Heaven yesterday
after we said good-bye
I began to miss you terribly
because I heard you cry.

Suddenly there was an Angel and
she asked me to enter Heaven's gate.
I asked her if I could stay outside
for someone who'd be late.

I wouldn't make much noise you see,
I wouldn't bark or howl.
I'll only wait here patiently
and play with my tennis ball.

The Angel said I could stay right here
and wait for you to come
Because Heaven just wouldn't be Heaven
If I went in alone

So I'll wait right here, you take your time,
but keep me in your heart.
Because Heaven just wouldn't be Heaven
without you to warm my heart.
