It is cancer again...this time it's me...

Felicia, I'm so sorry. {{{hugs}}}

I will think good thoughts for you and remember you in my prayers.

Hang in there, kiddo.

I'm so sorry to hear the news.

Prayers & pixie dust on the way

A girl I worked with had the same thing 4 years ago. She had her thyroid removed and started thyroid meds. She had no other treatment, besides follow up scans.

Since then, she has gotten married and had a baby. She was only 24 at the time of the diagnosis.

I know every case is different, but it's always helpful to me to hear of people who have overcome difficulties.

How scary for you!!! But Sloan is the best for cancer care,IMHO.

During the time until your next appointment, write down every question you think of regarding your situation. Don't think any question is too stupid. And get answers to each one when you go.

I'm glad that you're seeking a second opinion. From what you've presented, I'd say that your prognosis should be EXCELLENT. Stay strong. I know how frightening such news can be.

i will keep you in my prayers...

sending pixie dust your way...

I'm so sorry. We are going through breast cancer with my mom (2nd time around). Maybe you could write down your questions before you go in and have someone with you to write down all the answers. My mom is always so rattled she can't remember anything.
Take care of yourself.

OH Felicia I am so sorry. {{{HUGS}}} and lots of good thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry you have to go through this. It's been one tough year for you. Please know that I have put you on my prayer list.

{{{{HUGS}}}} to you!

I am so sorry to hear. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Keep your head up!!

I am so sorry to hear your news, but it sounds like your prognosis is good. Try to dwell on that.

Think positive thoughts. Don't let horror stories get you down. When I found out I had breast cancer, my doctor said each case is unique. Don't worry too much about bad things you hear. Hang onto the facts that you caught it before it spread.

You will be okay. There are just some things that you have to go through to get there. It'll all be over and behind you in no time at all. Take it a day at a time.

When you are scared, PM one of us from this thread. I know I'm always glad to offer a shoulder to lean on. I've been there. It's not fun. Yet, once the ordeal was over, I felt like I had a new lease on life.

I took DH with me to both the appointments I had with surgeons. We talked over the questions we had and he helped me remember to ask them. I have to admit I was just too shook up to remember all the things we were wanting to know. I was very thankful for his support. Could someone go with you to the doctor and help you ask all the things that you are wondering about? If not, I suggest writing down the questions so that you will remember what to ask.

I'm sorry to hear this Felicia. Hang in there!! I know it's easier to say. I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers!

Prayers, pixie dust, and BIG hugs to you and your mom..

My step-son-in-law had thyroid cancer that had spread quite a bit - spent 2 years fighting it - and is 100% cancer free now!

They're catching it early - you're getting a second opinion - so I'm sure it will be okay..

I understand your fears though.. Just come here to chat when you need support, okay?

Hugs,
C.Ann
