We'll have no stroller! Our kids are big girls now!

How odd!

Where am I going to put all our STUFF? Last time the kids were almost never in the stroller, but the stuff sure was!

Hmm. Time to find a good backpack, and rethink what we'll bring into the parks!

I'm not in the least distressed, by the way, and can't imagine that I'll mind. But - *gasp* - the Unofficial Guide might not come along every day anymore!:scared1:

I totally know what you are thinking. We have had a stroller since 1984 until last year when our youngest finally didn't need it anymore and I was thinking, Oh my Gosh! What about the STUFF! ( We have 4 kids ranging from 24-6)l I have only been to Disneyworld once but we travel to Disneyland about 6-8 timed per year since we are so close (6 hr drive). We always have the items that we buy sent to the room and carry a back pack. I never overload the pack (even though DH carries it) We always take tissue, small 1st aid kit, hand sanitizer, wipes, anything else that we may need, like jackets, we rent a locker. The funny thing that you will realize is how mny strollers there are! Whiler I was the pushe, I never really thought that there were sooo many, they are everywhere!!
Have a great time.....you will really enjoy not having to push the stroller during parade times and not looking for the thing in the dark when you exit the ride!

Not having a stroller is wonderful. It's easy to get around without having to manuver the stroller. I give each of the kids their own waist pack for a small water bottle and snack. I really cut down on what DH and I carry in our small packs too. You'll LOVE it.

LOL :) Congrats. Have the store send them back to your resort :)

I think I read OP's post too fast, because I thought you were talking about her KIDS! I was very confused for a second there.. just though you all might like a laugh :rotfl2:

We won't offically need it either, but I think I am going to bring it anyway.... just to carry stuff around, sweatshirts and stuff (since we are going in Feb.), snacks, water bottles, that kind of stuff. It wouldn't hurt to have it for us, just in case someone gets tired... but it is kinda sad to not need it.

You may miss it. You always know where your kids are at all times. After the stopped using a stroller, they got the great idea of sitting on daddys shoulders" so I can see better". Although, truth be told, I miss that as well.

I'm sure we'll be just fine. I just started shopping for cooler backpacks. Is there somewhere to tuck one when we go on Soarin? I don't want anything monstrous, but I'll carry something.

I will have to keep close tabs on Meredith. She can be a little bit distractable!

I would be so tempted to bring a small umbrella stroller just for the stuff, especially in winter when we need all the outerwear!! :goodvibes

Our trip in August was our first trip without a stroller. It was wonderful!! I thought we might miss it for carrying all the stuff but we didn't miss it at all. We just took one backpack (nothing special, one of the boys old school ones) and didn't try to carry too much. There were many times when DH & I would come out of a ride and say "isn't it nice we don't have to go looking for the stroller". Enjoy!

We've never been to WDW without a stroller and we plan to take a stroller for our January 08 trip, however this will be our first trip without me being pregnant, nursing a baby or changing diapers.

I'm really debating the whole stroller thing... our DD is 5 and certainly won't need a stroller, but I'm wondering where we'll keep all the stuff? We'll want to take a few bottles of water, some snacks, some wipes, rain jackets, glow sticks, etc.

I really think I'd rather push a stroller than have to deal with a backpack... what do you do with it on the rides? And I know I'd get a backache from wearing one... carrying around any extra weight on my shoulders drives me crazy... I hate a big purse or even a heavy coat... I'm looking for advice...

Our last trip was the first without a stroller and it was SOOOO nice.

On Soarin', if it's too big for the basket under the seat, then you just leave it on the floor at your feet. It will still be there when you "land".:goodvibes

congrats. we're still taking one for our ds who is 5. I am sure he will be doing tons of walking anyway but I know at some point he will get tired and want to be carried - and he's way too heavy for that now! We are thinking this is probably our last trip with a stroller.

We were there last year for my daughters 6th birthday, and while she was way to big for stroller, we brought it anyway for our stuff, and let me tell you ~ she used it!!!!!!

having no stroller was wonderful! You will love t! Both kids had miniback packs to carry their autograph books in and anything they may have bought. Sweat shirts we tied around waists and off we went! It was fabulous because my kids could get on every ride but RnR! Ds was too short but he said next yr he will grow that 2 inches so we can ride it all together:lmao:

HAVE A BLAST!

Lands End backpack has been to every disney trip since no strollers. Its so much easier to move around without one. Take a break when the kids need a break.:)
