I currently own 370 points at the BVW and for the most part have been able to book vacations there with no problems. Occasionally, the BWVs have been fully booked and we've stayed at SS because of it's ample availablity at the 7 month mark.
Now, here is my question, and I know it can't be as easy as this. But, if I am looking to add on points, for instance, through the Timeshare store and I am presented with the option of purchasing any number of points at approx. $55 PP for Vero Beach vs. $75 PP at Saratoga Springs, knowing that SS is most certainly going to have availabilty at the 7 month mark, why not buy points at whichever resort is selling the cheapest, i.e. VB and book a SS vacation or any of the other more expensive DVC resorts if so fortunate at the 7 month mark and get the better bang for the buck?
What's the catch. What am I missing?
