I just got back from WDW a day and half ago. On my last day we were at MK early in the morning and took a nice last day stroll down Main Street. Just as I get to the Bakery I spied a whole bunch (11 or 12) of Character Handlers/Parade Controlers in training. Here's the kicker each one is wearing a lanyard full of lanyard pins :earseek: :Pinkbounc :bounce:. There wasn't another trader in sight :hyper: so after thanking the pin Gods for my good timing :worship: I did the right thing and chose a few that I liked, traded pins from my own traders that were as as good or better for the next person to have a shot at good pins. I also stopped by City Hall Guest services to compliment the fine job the CM's were doing and to continue keeping desireable pins on lanyards.

Wow, that is pretty cool. On our last trip lanyard pins were few and far between.

We were talking to a couple of CMs outside of the Flying Fish about it early one evening. They called inside for a CM who was working at the hostess stand. She had several on her lanyard. I thought it was nice of them to do this for us.

Lanyard pins are not as easy to spot as many think.
I about fell over :faint: a week ago Saturday in AK. An "Earning My Ears" gal had a lanyard FULL of lanyard pins. :earseek:
It's hard not to be grabby and do the Happy Pin Dance there and then. :jester:
I traded for two -- and they were two I had given up on ever seeing a lanyard, let along aquiring! One each of Donald and Mickey Pirate. :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
:worship: :worship:
I was probably more excited about that than I was buying the dragon surprise pin! :jester:

You had some luck... I saw only one lanyard with those pins on them. I don't collect them so I left them there but you had it right... You where in the right place at the right time.

Last week I saw a CM with a lanyard full of GREAT pins at DD. Ah, this was my first fantasitc find as a new pin trader.

"Whoa, those are some great pins," I told her.

She then gave me my lesson on what a GREEN LANYARD means.

::yes::

And my two kids had stayed back at the pool.

It means she can't trade with anyone above the age of 9.

Actually a green lanyard is pin shark Kryptonite :teeth:

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!

Ain't that the truth! There are really good pins
on their from time to time! It is GREAT to find
an un-trained CM tho that will trade to anyone
off the green lanyards! Even after my explaination
to the CM to what the rules are and several "are you
crazy? take the pin" elbows in the ribs from my friend
I was with, I did kinda feel bad getting some good
pins, but oh well! If they want there to be rules
they have to properly train their CM's!

Just like the guy in DCA that had a line of people
waiting (I was ONE of them in line!) and I wanted to
trade for TWO pins and he said "no one per
customer, new rules for 2004" in his best foreign tongue
I should've handed the second pin to Scott and told
him to trade the guy for it! Argh! I wanted SO badly
to turn him in! If it weren't for Scott being there
I probably would've made a stink! I swear if I didn't
have Scott in my life I'd have high blood pressure!
Scott is my Rescue Remedy - Instant Calm!

Ok... I'm done now!::yes::
