Issues with DIS App

Does anyone know why the DIS app (apple) no longer works on iPhone or iPad? Ever since the DIS boards.com site went down for upgrades a few weeks ago, I get the following error message on my Apple devices: Parse Error - The remote server sent an unknown response, this could be a result of the forum software plugin being outdated - then it gives me the "report" option to send the report to support for analysis but it is still the same. Thanks!

The mobile app was designed to use forum software from vBulletin. The new forum software from XenForo. Apparently, XenForo has better built in mobile browser support, so the app will not be updated.

There's also an app called tapatalk, which offers different/better functionality from the mobile site, which several people requested the xenforo plugin for, but on the podcast they said it would not be installed because it removes their control over ad views.

I liked the app, but it never worked right for me and I subsequently stopped using it. I like the new format but I've been missing the emails. Since I am no longer being reminded about the posts online, I'm not really on a much as I was before.

Thanks for posting this. I've been wondering why mine hasn't worked for months. So frsutrating. Now I can free up some space on my phones hard drive!
