so we arrived late for our stay at the BWV, 1 BR SV last Saturday. Room is ready, 2309 I think. Open door, room is freezing, Air on full blast....never a good sign.
We enter, smells moldy... To tired to care. Unpack go to sleep. Next day, kids have asthma issues. Smell is bad.
We call front desk 3X. After 2 hours waiting in room. Guys comes with a spray bottle. Really, your going to fix this with frebreeze? Guy says "this place smells, frebreeze won't fix it". Ya think???
An hour later manager comes. She agrees it smells. Says I will check to see what I can do. 30 min later comes back with 2 rooms on a piece of paper, 3014 and 3002. and says let's go look at these. I'm like, just give us room.
We visit 3014 first. She goes "this room smells worse than your last room" YIKES!!! Go to 3002. It is good. Last room on the right. Next to Attic, which I have no idea what that is.
Switch rooms and she gives us $300. Which I think is fair. Wasted 3 hours. Moving is a pain but and kids will probably recover
Seriously, DVC handled it well.
I think the concerns are:
-They knew the room smelled (air was on full blast) and they still sent us there.
- why are so many rooms smelly?
The manager said they got a lot of rain last week but seriously, this is Florida and BWV is supposed to be a premium resort. Why aren't they taking care of the place? Or is this a normal Florida thing?
