Issues printing black? HELP!!!

I have no idea what I've done. I've tried 2 different printers. Both print ever color fine except the areas in my Disigns that are black.

They come out either gray or grayish blue. Has anyone had this problem or know what I've done to make this happen? Is it just the wrong setting.

I had no problems printing last year.

I already checked the ink levels. They're at about 3/4 full. I have an extra set in case I need more to finish printing.

I am assuming that you have them printed on the transfer paper. Sometimes on the transfer paper, the colors (especially black) appear dull or muted until you iron them. The heat in the iron makes the colors POP!

Try printing the same design to a sheet of paper and see if the black prints fine. If it does, it is probably exactly what I said above. Then I would just suggest ironing one and seeing how it comes out.

I've never seen that happen. Are you printing on transfers? If so, is it a different brand than before? When my sis and I changed (dark) transfer brands mid-tshirt making, the new ones seemed to print with faded, less vibrant colors. They would brighten up when we ironed them on. It was weird.

Couple more ideas (feel free to laugh me off if you've tried it):
Have you tried to just print black text? Does it come out ok?

I know your ink cartridges are close to full. Maybe try to trade them out just for your projects to make sure it's not a weird cartridge issue?

Good luck! I know it can be frustrating to have something print wrong.

Thanks for the replies. I was just printing the tests on plain paper. I always print tests, cut them out and place them on the shirt to make sure I have the correct size and that the colors look right on the particular shirt.

I don't know what worked, but I printed a test page which looked fine, then tweaked a couple of the Advanced print settings and voila, they are printing great now.
