Issues adding ME

Not sure if it's the right forum... Feel free to move the thread.

For the last few days I've been trying to add ME to my late August room-only reservation. When I'm trying to apply the change MDE always tell me that it can't do it and to call. Anyone else having issues with modifying a reservation? Adding/Deleting options?

This was not ideal but we arrived to the kiosks once only to find that they lost our reservation entirely, and I had entered our flight info into MDE months prior. Because we had our magic bands they could see our resort reservation and let us on, so you should be ok no matter what if you are wearing your bands in the airport.

I'm from Canada so they don't send us our bands... I guess I'll bring an old one just to make sure. If I can't do it online I'll call... But they should really think of adding an 800 number.
 
I use a Disney specialized TA so she does it. But when I book myself I’ve just phoned. Seems to be easiest way. I’m in Canada too, I think all they need is your res#
 
Even the link provided doesn't always seem to work.
I called because we didn't get our yellow tags and they said they didn't have our flight info even though I put it in when filling out the form.
I always call now. Much rather talk to a person and have them repeat the info back to know its correct.

Yeah... Would be easier if they had a toll free number. The wait time is often long and the fees calling from Canada are high. And honestly I work on the phone all day long... When I get home I try my hardest not to have to use a phone... :headache:
 
The easiest solution is to call them. I've always called, and I've never been on hold with them for more than a minute or two. It certainly took me less time to call than it did the time when I tried to figure out how to do it online (and then still had to call).

EDIT: Looks like it worked even with the error message. I just received an e-mail from Disney transportation. Thanks again. :smooth::)
I got the page 404 error, too. I tried entering the reservation three times and got the error message each time, so I finally gave up. It turns out that the reservation was finalized after all. I received three email confirmations that I made the reservation. :)

They did, some years ago. I forget why, but not for general reservations.

But people called it for a variety of reasons. Number cancelled.
 
Do you get an email confirming DME? I did two separate requests online as starting and finishing at different hotels (I probably could have done as one but I couldn’t figure out how to do it).

I got two emails saying thank you for requesting (departure and arrival) but only one further email giving information on what to do on departure etc.

Should I have received one telling me what to do on arrival - effectively confirming the booking?

I have only ever received the 'thank you for requesting' email for arrivals. Then a regular post office mailing with the yellow luggage tags and the instruction letter about a month before the trip.
 
Just wanted to add a note... we have a Friends & Family room discount and our cast member friend always forgets to sign us up for ME. She forgot again and I totally forgot as well until about 10 days before our departure. I used the link someone posted and filled it out, and UPS delivered our tags to our front door 2 days later.

In October, we forgot entirely and just showed up at the kiosk. We had to get our suitcase off the baggage claim, but it was 100% fine. They looked up our reservation and let us on without any issue.
 
everyone is right, call-it is the easiest and most direct way to be sure the problem is taken care of. The phone number for ME for US and Canadian travelers is 407-939-1936
