We bought a package. Meaning stay at fort wilderness with park passes. Making it a package. Our adult daughter and her freind are staying with us for a few of the days. They bought tickets through Disney and it is all linked together on MDE. I was checking in and the front desk said my daughter and her freind are considered day guests and are not eligible for early entry. This goofs up our plans as you can imagine. Any ideas?

I believe they need to actually be listed on your reservation- then they are considered resort guests and should qualify for early entry…
Yes and it won't cost anything to add them to your reservation if you're within the total number of people allowed to stay on the site. The capacity for The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort can accommodate a maximum of 6 Guests plus one if they are under the age of 3 in a crib or Pack 'n Play.

One possible issue I can see is that with packages each person on your package includes a ticket purchase. So, package for 4 includes 4 tickets. You can't have 4 people on a package and only purchase 3 tickets. You need to call WDTC and try to add your DD and her friend, but be sure to clarify with the CM whether or not you can just put them on your reservation ('room only') or whether or not they become included in the actual package, which might mean purchasing a ticket.

They are saying I needed to reserve the campsite and then buy the tickets later. This would have been room only and all would have been fine. But….because I purchased the package and they wernt on with the ticket purchase they don’t get early entry. We have been here now two days and are seeing lots of small changes all in favor of Disney and not so much the customer. We will still have a great time but this is just an annoying when it relly should be no big deal.

Others have said the additional guests can be added by the Outpost CMs after you have checked in. I haven't tried this, but it is worth a shot.

The other option, if there is availability for the dates you have booked, is to cancel the existing package reservation and rebook as a room only and tickets.

I've been booking Disney packages for over 10 years and that ALWAYS been the policy. Tickets must be purchased to equal the number of guests on the package reservation, ie 'in the room'.

@Teamubr has a good suggestion; check directly with the front desk to see if they will add them to the cabin/campsite.

EE is now only 30 minutes. I'd have them either get in line when we got there for EE and set a 'meet up spot' for when regular guests are admitted, or I'd forego EE and enter with them. Chances are, I'd probably do the former.
