Issue Booking Villas at the Grand Floridian in Dec

Looking to use my points sometime in December but every time I go to make a reservation it looks like the first day is booked and I'm required to wait list my stay. Is anybody else encountering this issue and is it to be expected that I won't be able to go during December?

Yes, there are a couple of threads about difficulty booking VGF in December. That's one of the reasons that we bought a fixed week when VGF first opened.

And if you are trying for a studio, you have lots of competition. The first week of December is the most heavily booked week of the year for DVC.

You might also want to check back a few days in case someone was walking the reservation and they cancelled the first day leaving it open for you.
