I went online to reserve the Fantasmic Dinner Package (Mama Melrose) for Sept 10th. The only time that came up is 3:50 PM.

How early do they allow reservations for the dinner package?

After I finish my dinner at lunchtime :lmao: they just give us a voucher then for the show at night?

thanks

My Fantasmic! Package on Sept. 26th is for 4:05pm. They do just give you the voucher and then you just show up for the show 30-45 minutes before it begins for the preferred seating. Just make sure you get there by 30 min till showtime!

Actually, you could have an 11;30AM or 1:30PM reservation, so be thankful.
If you are concerned about how to time your eating, you could change to an earlier time so it is your lunch, then have a light dinner later.

Correction, the earliest they are seating now apparently is 1:00P, not 11:30A.

Fantasmic Dining Packages are scheduled for the afternoon hours around 1 to 5. It's Disney's way of filling the restaurants during the slower times. You'll never get a F! dinner at 6 or any typical dinner time. :)

I was surprised too when we booked our Fantasmic Pkg at the Brown Derby for Thanksgiving week and we were given an ADR for 3:00 PM. Then I got to thinking Fantasmic starts at 6:30 and even with the package you are advised to show up at least 30 minutes early. I figure we can have a relaxing meal and not feel rushed and still have time to pick up a snack if needed ;) right before the show starts.

Also at the time we booked it was the only Fantasmic Pkg available during our 11 days :scared1:

Regarding picking up a snack right before the show starts--------
I just got back Friday night from WDW. In the Fantasmic theater they had a WONDERFUL fruit and cheese platter for $12.75. It had 3 huge chocolate- dipped strawberries (those alone sell for 3.95 each, so basically the rest is free) brie and some mild yellow cheese, mini slices of a bread loaf, tart apple slices (Granny Smith?) and green grapes. The line was so long on the way in, I gave up and went on in, but stopped there on the way out and they still had one left. I took it home, and enjoyed it very much the next night after Extra Magic Hours. A totally delightful repast, and a great buy. Hope they have it next time I go, though by then they will probably realize it is under-priced, and charge more for 1/3 of what was in there.

Sounds yummy have to keep an eye out when we're there :goodvibes

On our trip in May we had a 1:30pm F package for Mama Melrose and it worked out great for us. At first I thought it was strange to have reservations that early, but in the end I am really glad that we did.

Our "dinner" is at 3:45. I actually like this. We do a big buffet breakfast before rope drop at H&V, then if we need something, and we usually dont, grab a snack and have dinner at 3:45. Then a small snack around 7. Works well for us.
