I have seen some offensive tags and I have seen (and reported) offensive signatures. I remember one signature that, while "legal", annoyed me so much I put the poster on "ignore" until it was gone, LOL!

Meshmar: It looks like the people who bashed you about your tag are back-tracking and editing their posts. As you well know, editing your posts doesn't do much good when someone else already quoted you . Since you felt like you were a member of the "test thread" community you may want to contact the posters that bashed you directly through PMs to work things out. I know that Bbgrizzle was just trying to be a good friend by posting here but this thread may have made things worse .

Every now and then I'll put a picture in the siggy and man, do the claws come out!!!

I think it's because maybe your pics were too pretty! I don't remember yours, but I do know Miranda Danda is pretty, so I think maybe that was jealousy speaking! Hearing all this, I am surprised someone hasn't laid me out for having such hotness in MY siggie.

I read the original post, the exchange, the apology, the subsequent posts...
I guess I didn't realize that the "test" thread "regulars" & that the OP "owned" that particular thread. Silly me , I had always thought that it was actually a thread for testing to see if your posts were getting through to the Internet and to the DIS without clogging up other boards/threads here.
So I never went on it because I didn't think I needed any testing .

I've never been a big fan of appeasement as a way to deal with bullies.

If they had a misunderstanding, I could see him trying to "work it out" with them, but I think what these posters did was patently unacceptable. I don't think pandering to the people who did it will help the problem. If anything it would validate what they did and only serve to increase their sense of self-importance.

There is nothing to "work out". They were wrong and their behavior was unacceptable.

I remember that thread and posted on it. I wouldn't say you were "totally bashed". Most of us were just pointing out in that thread that the photo was too big (it was giant!) and that you needed to reduce the size. There was a turd in the punchbowl who was mean to you but the rest of us were not.

Not to go OT (ok, just for a sec) - but I second the hotness of your sig and would like to note that you're the first person I ever "met" who shares that opinion with me. Nobody else knows who he is!

My sig has been called "scary" Cracked me up. I was ready to rotate it out but then I liked that it scared people.
