Isn't this against the DIS board rules?

I have to admit you've got me trying to figure out which thread it was. And I was barely on the boards this weekend because I was busy.

If someone was that bossy, I'd rather not be on the thread then delete any of my tags--each of mine is from the Tag Fairy, and I love them all!

I really don't like it when people think this.

I have an active life (don't consider myself mean or anything either--so I'm not saying your comment was directed at me).

Some people are lurkers and some are not. High post count does not convey an aptitutde for meanness.

I saw someone this week with a very LOW post count--and my goodness--the posts coming from their fingers--just not very nice.

NO it was not directed to you but at some people in general who are mean and do think that there is a seniorty system. Certain people come to mind but you are not one of them and I am speaking of the whole Dis NOT just one board. Some of the boards are meaner than others I will not say which ones.

I just read it, and I want to apologize for those people. That was just someone trying to act all cool and big. It was a hilarious tag and the Tag Fairy did a good job with it. Personally, I think you, me, and Bonnie share that tag

That's what I didn't get. There are lots of tags with "thread KILLER" in them, but thread ASSASSIN, a perfect synonym, is not okay? It was sure fine with the Tag Fairy.

LOL! That is so funny. There is no owner. OP can make requests to a mod if stuff gets ugly (I had to do that once--but when it resorts to personal attacks..you do what you gotta do). But the board owns the thread.

Often times--people try to take ownership if they don't like what people are saying that are perfectly within guidelines (like when their opinion is polar to yours).

But nobody can really make any rules for their own threads.

She's right. There are no owners of threads, unless you count the owner of the entire DIS. If someone doesn't like a tag of a fellow DISer, then maybe this isn't the forum for them. There are certainly plenty of other outlets on the internet. Another option would be to put that poster on ignore, so you never have to read their posts.

The tag in question is no big deal. I'm quite the pacifist, but that doesn't offend me at all.

Yes, the Tag was definitely a TF tag. It was in red, and I remember when this person got their tag recently, they were really happy. And after this person mentioned on a couple threads that one thread took issue with their tag, the tag fairy changed it.

Ohhh, bummer, they deleted a 'real' tag! That stinks.

Sounds like there's a bully out there terrorizing the newbies...

Just read through the thread in question-that's got to be one of the ugliest threads I've ever seen- some threads get my blood boiling and that can be fun, but that one just turned my stomach

That is the most disgusting thing I've seen on the DIS in a long time. Who does this "macraven" think they are??? Posting a lot on the DIS does not make you an authority, and I can't imagine anyone having the gall to call out the TF like that.

I personally think no one "owns" a thread, and I would be incredulous and incensed if someone told me to stop posting on "their" thread. The expanse of people's self-importance never ceases to amaze me!
