I agree about the Chase Visa deal expiring.

My guide called me earlier (as I was drinking wine from my DVC wine glass). She said she was just checking in. I’m secretly hoping she was reconfirming her list in anticipation of some release of news.

Isn't the Chase Visa deal restricted to the current incentivized properties (Riviera, Cabins, etc.?)
I haven't looked at it too closely, but feels like they could just exclude a new offering from it if they wanted.

Monorail view on floors ~5-7 seems nice and interesting. Higher than that you’ll just be looking down on the tops of them. I’m thinking a sweet spot view wise though will be the rooms in the southeast wing looking towards the pool and the rest of Poly!
A very small portion of the building goes above 7 stories.

Only the very center portion with the apparent penthouses rises to 10 stories. Then moving outward it drops down to 8 stories, 7 then 6. It looks like there are fewer than a dozen rooms on the monorail side on floors 8-10. And some of those are the penthouses, which we assume will hold appeal.

They definitely could. We are just grasping at straws here. 😂

Popularity ebbs and flows over the years. It was definitely in decline before the C-word, but it made a big resurgence when people were looking for things to do outside and distanced.

But don't look at score sheets to determine who plays because they enjoy it, everyone pretty much stinks at golf 😂
Yep, a few courses near me were close to bankruptcy. C-word resulted in a lot of people getting outdoors.

Plenty of articles talking about people working from home taking advantage of flexible hours to get a round in. Brother (retired) complains about the number of young people taking away his prime tee times :rotfl2:

Any thoughts on which floors they may classify as theme park?

I took some photos from the train a couple weeks ago and posted them. Penthouse floors (9-10), plus the next 2 floors (7-8) were fully visible. Floor 6 was mostly visible (left side near top of portal was blocked by the island trees), everything to the GF side of the left portal had a view of the train. 5th floor (lake side, by toward the wedding chapel) still in white could see the train. 4th floor had a few rooms that I can see in the picture.

Things like Tiana's, BGTMR, Space Mountain, Tron may be visible from other floors/areas because they will have different angles.

BTW, castle and fireworks should be viewable from floors below the ones I described.

So, what are people's theories of why we have not seen any movement in the official declarations or documents for this project yet? I have none.
Probably to give the FW Cabins the spotlight for a little while. The timeshare license is in place and the association already exists. All they need to do is file an amendment to add more units and can begin selling almost immediately.

I don't think so. First, to me it almost looks like the glass is where the hallways would be, and on the front side, there's an opening that's half the width. But honestly, nothing about this build is straight forward, so who knows
Those portals with the glass and what is apparently a doorway to walk into them remind me of AK Jambo building. When we stayed before buying DVC, there were a couple sections when I recall seeing out and an area to go outside and see the animals. It was only on certain floors, similar to the Island Tower.

I believe the area in red here is a shared viewing area.Screenshot 2024-07-03 114335.png

With Island Tower, I suspect they are doing something similar to give guests more options to view things and not feel like it's a big concrete building. Island Tower also has the triangle areas with tattoo designed artwork to go on the walls. They are the balcony near the pool area that is set way back in. (First artist renderings had plants on those balconies, but this if Florida not Hawaii. Plants would have been a fun issue with various Florida insects).

NOTE: at BLT, they had a few window areas to see things (elevator banks) to make it feel less claustrophobic.

That's what I wasn't sure about. I didn't know if there was a set time from declaration to sales that was required when it was being added as a new phase and not a new association.

This would fit in with a hint a higher up CM gave us to expect more images (details) around mid-end of July.

Edited to add (details).

Attached are the docs they used for the BPK addition to VGF, so looking for something similar.

The current incentives ending September 30th tell me everything I need to know. Start the new 2025FY with a slam dunk on October 1st...

Which use year would make out best if points were to go on sale Oct 1? For example, how might an Oct 1 launch play out for an existing member with an October UY? Asking for a friend 🙂
(I’m concerned an Oct 1 launch would be worst-case-scenario for an Oct UY)

Question re: UY and points for when sales go live. Because these units all start their own

This makes the most sense.

One thing I am struggling to understand (and I know it has been discussed here before so apologies) is how the timing of adding the units, starting sales, and having the same association will impact the points for each UY. If they start them at the new fiscal year is everyone only entitled to 2025 points?

Once they declare them and start sales, they will set the date for points back booking. Will it match the Dec 17th date?

If it does, and sales don’t start until October 1st, I’d be very surprised to see 2024 points given to any UY except Oct and Dec UY.

But, DVD can decide to hold off points based booking until 2025 and then could say 2025 is the first UY of points.

Plus, if they don’t start sales until October, and do open for DVC bookings in December my guess is you won’t see anyone other than PVB owners having the booking ability for December. They’d give them a few months home resort advantage.

However, it will surprise me to see them not start points until 2025.

Based on how they assigned view categories at VDH, I am expecting any room that faces even 30% towards MK above the 3rd floor will be considered a Theme Park View room. It’s possible I have the angles wrong but you can see a bunch of attractions from the ground floor along the lagoon so I’m not sure why they wouldn’t make the majority of the rooms facing the lagoon side of the building TPV.
