Getting ready to book my Aulani trip. Still can't decide whether to book the Island Garden view or the Pool view. Any opinions between these two? Thanks.

For an upcoming trip we have booked a Pool View. A prior trip we had a view overlooking the parking deck and convention center, I think it was standard view. It wasn't the best view but we really didn't sit outside much.

If you want to save the points for a future vacation I would book the Island view. I am wondering how loud the Pool view will be that I booked. Seems like the Island view would be more peaceful.

I had the same debate myself for our trip this winter. What it seems to come down to is a bit of luck when you are actually assigned the room at check-in. It appears that some island garden views are just as good as pool views in some instances. But in others, the pool views are much better and some island garden views are barely any better than standard view. We stayed in an Island gardens view the last time and I thought we actually had a really nice view. We overlooked the spa area and could see a little bit of the ocean from the balcony if we looked toward it. I guess it would come down to if the price difference is worth it to you. We ultimately decided that it it wasn't worth the extra cost and if we were going to spend more money, I wanted to go all the way to ocean view.

We chose Island/Garden view for our May/June trip this year, and I was very happy. I didn't want to risk the noise from the Pool View rooms (plus they cost more). I think Pool View rooms must be on the lower floors of the towers, facing in towards the pool, while the higher floors of these same buildings would be considered Ocean View. We requested Ewa tower, overlooking the Starliu Hui lawn, and got pixie dust at check in and ended up getting upgraded to "Ocean View", which was in the Ewa tower, facing the Hui lawn, but on the 14th floor. It was a very nice upgrade, however, if we had actually paid the premium for Ocean View, I would have wanted a room facing the pools/interior of the resort, with a view of the ocean. Since it was free, it was awesome! I think I still would have been happy without the upgrade, as we were in the room so very little.

As well, we were there 9 nights, so the price difference for the different view category added up quickly. So we went with Island/Garden view.
