Is Web Slingers really that great????

I went on it once and found the 30 minute wait in line to be too long for what the ride was. I would absolutely ride it again, but the line needs to be shorter than 30 minutes or I have to be with someone who has never been on it and really wants to try it.

You are literally waving your arms around in that Spider Man web move. Unless you are looking for a cardio workout, it's not fun. With Toy Story, even though you are doing repetitive motions, you are doing different things...throwing rings, darts, popping balloons, etc. Spider Man is just the same.

I'll wait in line for Toy Story, but not Spider Man. The thought of paying good money for that ride to get a LL pass is very laughable.

I really like the ride. The more I ride it, the more I like it. It’s high energy and is a lot of fun with a group. And the theming is well done in the preshow and the inside part of the queue. I would never pay for it though, nor would I wait more than 30 minutes to ride. We recently hopped in the standby line when it said 55 minutes (my son really wanted to ride) and we were to the preshow in I think 27 minutes? Off the ride before the 40-minute mark.

I've never bothered to check it out. Those rides are migraine triggers for me so I avoid them. I'm not sure why I can ride other things like Star Tours but can't do the interactive game rides, but that's just the way it is. I prefer being an observer and find the role of participant to be stressful lol.

It's okay. It really is Toy Story Midway Manaia on steroids. I think the aiming is a little off though and prefer a gun - it might be better if you have one of those power toys so you can use Iron Man's repulsor rays instead of webs. I did kind of want to try that, but with lines prohibitively long, I didn't think I'd get a lot of value from it (we only rode it once). Honestly, the pre-show is the best part for me. I don't hate it or anything though, but it's not worth a very long wait.

I can easily ride the Universal Orlando Spider-Man ride over and over again, Would only do Web Slingers if it was at 15 or less minute wait.

Same here-- but we would probably say 30 minutes since DD is a huge Spider-Man fan. We love the Universal Spiderman ride. It has been around since 1999 and DH and I loved it even before DD. It is still really fun and impressive today even though it is over 20 years old. We had huge hopes for Webslingers based on the Universal ride and they way technology has changed so much in the last 20 years. We thought with Disney we might get something groundbreaking (like we felt Universal's Spiderman was 20 years ago). I was very underwhelmed. Webslingers is fun, but in our opinion significantly inferior to Universal Orlando's Spiderman ride. Webslingers feels more like playing a video game in your living room. DD liked Webslingers a lot because she loves Spiderman-- but if you put the 2 rides side by side and told her to pick one, it would be Universal every time. Don't bother shelling out the extra money for the Web Power bands from the store across the path from it either. After riding it the first time, we bought one for DD the next time we were going to ride it and her score went down with it instead of up.

I've only ridden it once and haven't felt the need to ride again. I get a buzz of competition with Buzz & TSMM, we once rode TSMM 3 times in a row quickly and our hands were hurting but it was so fun! I just felt like I was flailing my arms around with Webslingers. I will say the fittest person in the vehicle will probably score the highest.

There's actually a ride at Magic Mountain that combines Buzz & Webslingers concepts really well Justice League: Battle for Metropolis. I don't follow comic book characters at all but we had so much fun on that ride and did it three times that day.

I think it’s really fun for the younger crowd. Fast paced action and feels like you are involved in the mission. For me, it wears my arms out and hard to concentrate on it all. I been on a few times and do it for fun and not for any score. It’s no longer a must do. I rank it with Smugglers Run.

That does kind of sum it up for me. It's not even as good as a Six Flags ride. Don't get me wrong, Six Flags has it's place and is fun, but they are not known for their theming or park building.
Oh, and I do like the Justice League ride, it actually was very well done. And, as I mentioned before, the Ninjago ride at Legoland is also (in my opinion) superior to Spiderman.

Don't tell that to the guy who sat next to me when I went on it the first time. He was extremely fit and had the lowest score. I am NOT FIT and had the highest score. His wife was holding their baby with one arm and still beat his score, which was very impressive. I guess it's all about precision for me! LOL.

Haha, it seemed like my son's friend, who is a very fit athlete, totally showed our group up! I got second and I didn't even know what I was aiming for. My son & husband were third and fourth(and they could probably improve their fitness). My brother and his wife thought the same thing - they scored high just by going fast and both are in really good shape. I felt totally winded after LOL

It is worth rope dropping but not ILL in my opinion. I generally ride it right before California Adventure close and at rope drop if I start in DCA. The line is just too long and there's no real good way to avoid that wait.

I prefer Buzz and Midway Mania. The scoring for those rides is way more transparent and you aren't affected by your teammates as much. The Web Slingers scoring screen at the end also moves way too fast for you to keep track of what is going on. I definitely don't feel as much of a sense of achievement with Web Slingers.

The Web Tech that they try to sell you is a nightmare. If you use it the way they intend you to, it becomes a lag fest with your aiming completely off and many shots don't register due to jittery tracking. For it to even have the potential of working as intended, you have to get it to register with the ride and then take it off very quickly right before the first room starts. You then have the awkwardness of keeping it out someplace such as on your lap if it even continues working at all. So far, I've been getting a decent experience with Web Tech 1 out of every 4 rides. I don't recommend buying this if you aren't going to get enough practice with timing when to take it off on the ride to avoid the lag but still work.

As for what is good about Web Slingers: The pre-show is up to date and modern. The screens look good so it definitely makes Astro Blasters look a bit outdated. Being new, more elements of Web Slingers work more of the time than the elements of the Toy Story video game rides. The concept of Web Slingers is also good if you don't mind your arms being tired. I also like it more than Smuggler's Run which can be no fun if it's your first ride and you get stuck as Engineer. But overall, I think Web Slingers was cool as an idea but disappointing in implementation.

Not great but its fun. Not worth a huge line IMO but I still like it.

My group was pretty underwhelmed by the ride.

We'd go on it again if the line was under half an hour, but definitely won't spend money on it (where we felt the ILL for RSR to ride at sunset was worth it). It didn't help that we had to wake up to try for the virtual queue two days in a row, got the virtual queue the second day, then still had to wait in an hour line ... if it hadn't have been multiple hours of our vacation trying to get it, we might have been more pleased. RotR was worth the long line (and virtual queue), although we'll never RD that again either. We like Toy Story, and when they had the Magic Morning hours we'd go on Toy Story several times in a row, but won't wait 45+ minutes for it if there's anything else to do in the park, so if they bring Magic Morning options for WS we might see if we like it better.

We were there last week, and were able to ride it with a 10-15 minute wait after 8:30. We did this on a Saturday and on a Monday. Both times the posted wait time was 45 minutes. I don't think I would have waited longer than that for the ride. It was fun because we had a group of 8 and were all very competitive, but I don't think Disney really needed another Buzz/Toy Story type ride! If you want to experience it once just wait until the end of the night so you have a short wait.

We finally got to do WS since this was our first time back since the shut down. It is not my favorite ride but will do it again if less than 30 min wait. DD14 loved it and so did DH. I do prefer it to TSMM which is a ride we only ever do if there is no line but we do love buzz. We also did Millenium Falcon for the first time since it opened we had been there maybe 2 times after but it was always a long wait. It had a 15 min wait but was basically a walk-on at night and we all agreed it was the worst of the new rides so far. I guess there are different rides for different likings.

I enjoyed it - I get like I had a little more control since I was not having to attempt to aim with something I cannot really see.

My 10 year old loved it. For me it is more "meh." We are Marvel/Spiderman fans so the theming and pre-show were fun. I'm just not a fan of the arcade game style rides (and not good at them at all). I probably would ride WS (if the line was shortish) over Buzz and TSMM. I definitely would not pay to ride.
