I think we are more likely to see a star wars themed hotel/dvc before we see a star wars land
Nope...
This came up in the discussions of studios when the Star Wars billion dollar renovation was "green light" and an announcement was "any day". (You know...a year ago?)
There were threads about a marvel hotel at MGM making "complete sense" and "such a draw for 12 year old boys and all their purchasing power"...
Besides it making no sense...it is ignoring what's been going on with their rooms business. No...they don't particularly like the room and dining promotions...no...it's not "their new normal"
There hasn't been enough demand for rooms... The prevailing thought is about an 80% occupancy rate. Which no Hotels will be constructed. They could build the new Graceland for Sci-Fi geeks...but it wouldn't matter if occupancy dipped at other spots... And it would. Every person who booked one of those " boy rooms" of pirates at Caribbean? See ya.
Disney next "hotel" will be something like "Disney's old time america palace of old money: a Disney vacation club resort"
