Is Victoria and Alberts worth it?

Hi,
We're going to Disney World in September and will be there for our 10th anniversary. Is V&A really worth it? or should we try some place else for that big night. (Grandma & Grandpa are coming with us and will have our kids so we're willing to go anywhere in the area).

Thanks!

IMO? Yes, absolutely, particularly for a special event like your 10th. (Congrats, BTW!) That isn't to say that you can't have an excellent meal in a romantic setting elsewhere, but for me, V&A's is the clear #1 choice if you can swing the $$.

If not a huge stretch financially then definitely, this is the choice to go with. We ate there for our anniversary last September and it was perfection itself. It was so romantic, the food was fantastic, and you just truly feel special the entire evening.

I agree with the previous two posters. A visit to V&As makes for a very special evening indeed. Yes, the food is excellent, but the atmosphere and service are equally noteworthy. Here you are at Disneyworld which (as much as I do love it :earsboy: ) can be a loud, crowded, chaotic experience, but you step into V&As and you are in a very quiet, romantic dining room with a very limited set of patrons, assuring you of very attentive service.

Before our visit to V&As several years ago, my wife was a bit concerned as to whether she would enjoy the experience, thinking that it might be just too stuffy, the food too gourmet. However, we were not there long before any misgivings she had vanished.

In short, I give V&As a big thumbs up!

Thanks everyone, while that amount of money for dinner is nothing to sneeze at, it won't be a stretch (after all it costs less than the original wedding, right?). Now to figure out when I need to make reservations. Six months prior, is that correct? Are the reservations really difficult? I'm counting on Sept. not being as busy.
Thanks Again!

A PS for the Chef's Table can be made at 180 days, for a regular table in the main dining room, at 120 days. I'm sure you won't have a problem getting the reservation for September, unless you want the Chef's table, which does get booked very quickly, as they can only seat one party per night. :)

Enjoy - and happy anniversary!

The answer to your question is a "relative" one, and you won't know for sure until after you've dined there.
I agree that it IS worth it, especially if the whole dining "experience" is important to you. If you rate a meal primarily on the size of that T-Bone steak, you probably won't like it. But if food preparation, excellent service and a fine ambiance are important, then I think you'll be pleased.
I'd suggest the main dining area rather than the Chef's table, and you can make reservations 120 days out for that. I just made ours for dinner at V&A on May 5.

I made reservations mid-December for Valentines night with no problem (and was even given a choice of dining times), if that gives you any indication :)

Best restaurant at WDW, and the most romantic.

Food is prepared and served wonderfully. You'll love the entire experience.
