My family and I plan dining at VA's, but would also like to bring my 7 year old niece. She will be the youngest in the group an we don't really want to leave her out of any of the meals. It will be everyones first time at VA's. I think she would enjoy all of the attention like all of the other CM's give her.

I think it really depends on the child. I know my daughter would do fine at V & A's but I would never take my son. As with any Disney restaurant they welcome children and I have seen them in there.
It's takes about two hours to dine there so she'll have to sit there for a long time. With the money you'll be spending on her at V & A's it might be a better idea to put her in one of the kid's club where she'll probably have a much better time.

There is not a "child's menu" available at Victoria & Albert's.

She would probably be the only child dining at the restaurant.

And it is at least a 2-hour meal.

That said, you know your niece. If she is used to going out for fancy dining and is an adventurous eater, she might be the belle of the ball.

When my DH and I dined at V & A's in Nov. 2001, there were two boys (probably 10 & 12) that were dining with their grandparents. They were well dressed and extremely well behaved! (but we didn't talk to them about their impression of the menu.)

If it had been my choice to go with my folks to this restaurant when I was 7, I would have chosen to go and been on my best behavior and absolutely loved trying all the fancy food. If I were to decide on taking my 10 year old niece today - I'd say no, although she'd be well behaved and love the attention, she wouldn't enjoy the menu.

I have heard good things from kids at WDW about both Simba's Clubhouse at AK and the Neverland Club at the Poly. Maybe she'd prefer her own night out?

Not much I can add to the 2 previous posts. V&A would certainly be kid friendly if the opportunity arose. But in all the meals we've had there since 1988, I have only seen children twice--one girl (10-12) with her parents, and one girl (again,10-12) with her mother. In all honesty--they both looked quite bored. Our meals usually last at least 2 hours, and more often 2 1/2--a long time for a child to sit at the table.
But--you do know your niece and if you do decide to take her, you can count on your Victoria and your Albert to pay a lot of attention to her.
Regarding the menu--there is no children's menu, so she might be very limited in what she might like to order. But I suspect (tho I'm not sure) that they might be able to round up something else from Citrico's next door--provided they are open that nite. To find out for sure, you can call V&A direct at 407-824-1089.
