We will be visiting family over Easter vacation next year & taking a break from the Disney parks. We were thinking of maybe going to Vero for 3 nights, starting the day after Easter in a studio. ANy idea if this is hard to get at the 7 month window?

February-April is prime tourist season for Vero. That said, go ahead and give it a try on the 7-month window. I have been able to call in January and get a few days in March for the last two years.

We've been there the last two Easters and it has been very busy. We met up with some relatives there last year and they booked a few months out. They ended up with a Garden View Inn Room. Their waitlist for an Ocean View Inn Room or 1 Bedroom Villa never came through.

I booked a OV Inn room last year at around 5 months out - then my parents decided to come and I got the last GV inn room left at around 2 months out. I don't know if that is typical - but it seems like yes they sold out, but with lots of availability at 6-7 months out. Good luck! We're going to try and go again.this spring break. It is a beautiful resort.

I booked a beach cottage at 11 months out day by day. I have to wait to book a needed studio or Inn room at the 7 month window since I ran out of VB points. I can't believe you got the BC so easily 2 months out. I bought at Vero this year just so I could book the cottage for Sping break. Looking back on my decision to buy I think I made a very impulsive move. This Spring is an exception with kids coming down etc but usually we were always able to book at the 7 month window for the two of us in a one bdrm. I will never bring this up to DH that we probably wasted a whole lot of money just to make sure we had the BC for this Spring. I have shared this with all of you. I am a disneyaholic and my name is Marylyn.

I think you misunderstood the post by KLR- wlv, she said she got a GV(Garden View ) Inn room at 2 months out, not a Grand Villa or Beach Cottage.;)

Thanks for that post. I have always known GV to mean Grand Villa so I just assumed she was talking about a Beach Cottage. Now I feel better:p

Sorry for the confusing abbreviation! I would have been floored to get a BC at 2 months! Don't question your decision to buy - I would buy a VB contract in a second if we had a lot of extra cash laying around!

Thanks for the nice words of encouragement about my purchase. We love Vero and always go in May anyway. When we were down the first week in May last year a DVC member had secures a Beach Cottage for her extended family for the week by calling day by day from California at 6 AM. She got the BC at the 7 month window so I thought maybe you had the same kind of story at two months. Our son and wife and child are in Vero right now in an OV room and are having a blast. He is five so they are going to all the kid's activities. We are so glad they appreciate their time there since our other kids take for granted any time we give them at Disney World.
BTW, we don't have extra cash laying around. We sold some stock to buy Vero but I don't feel bad anymore anyway..
Thanks!!!
