Is Vero nice for July 4th????

Thinking about going for the 4th of July, 2012 and wondering if there are fireworks there or nearby. Is it safe to assume it is festive? We are splitting a stay between BLT and hopefully Vero.

We were thinking of doing the same thing. We currently have 9 nights booked at BLT over the 4th week, but thought about splitting it up possibly.

There are July 4th festivals and fireworks about 15 min north of the resort in Sebastian, and about 15 min south of the resort in Vero Beach.

We have been to Vero several times on the forth. They have special games by the pool for the kids during the day. Other than that the resort is not much different from any other day. You need to leave the resort if you want to see fireworks. On our trips it was always really hot.

Would you say too hot to enjoy the beach and resort? I have only been to Disney World in the summer. I thought it would be nice to have a few days of something different. Is the pool really hot also?
