Is Valentines Day and week crowded?

I have been reading a lot of posts about the crowd levels the week of the Feb 20th after President's Day and also Mardi Gras the following week. But does anyone know if the week of Valentines Day is crowded? That is Feb 12-19. In other words, the week before President's Day week.

I went this same week a few years ago and it was GREAT. We never waited more than 15 minutes for anything and most things were walk ons. However, that Saturday (your 18th and 19th) the crowds did increase quickly. I would plan so that the last two days are just hitting highlights, DTD and other non-crowd dependant things.

We were there Valentine's week in 1998 and it was great.

We went that week last year and are headed back for the same week this year. Very doable. It seems to get more crowded on Friday and Saturday -- as another poster noted. I think the Unofficial Guide rates it sixes and sevens until the end of the week when it goes to 8.

We're going Feb. 12th-Feb. 19th to celebrate my mom's 70th birthday and we are hoping for good weather and light crowds!

Thanks everyone for the info. We will be heading home on the Friday (17th), so it sounds like we might luck out and miss all of the major crowds. From what you guys are saying, it sounds like we are going to have a great week crowd wise. But hey, it's WDW, every week is a great week there.
