Is Touring Plans worth it this close to my trip?

I'm just wondering since I'm two months away and I have a basic plan of how I want to everything. My FP booking window is on the 18th and if things go wrong then it might throw everything off balance. I'm asking cause it's a yearly subscription for $13. I'm only interesting in Touring Plans for trying to get a BOG ressie which I know is far from a guarantee. Are there other advantages to the website other than snagging ADRs that could be useful to me close to my vacation time?

I don't think you need to subscribe to use the reservation finder. But, otherwise I think it is well worth the subscription.

I will be going in December 2016. I will be ordering Touring plans just before we leave. I used it last trip and it was great we did/seen everything we wanted to, however we felt rushed pressured because we planned to do so much. This trip is more relaxed and will mainly use Touring plans just to check off attractions we have deemed a must see/do and help us from running the marathon back and forth the parks as we'll make just a quick general plan, but not over pack the trip this time. Plus we have 7 full days to see and do things at a slower pace.
I fully feel the price is well worth it.

You can usually find a 20% coupon code for the subscription- just google it and it should come right up.
Also- you do not need a subscription for the reservation finder.

I used it in February and loved it. It was a great help and it was very useful. And with it you get access to their "WDW lines" which can give you wait times as well as access to a chat with TP subscribers.
If you are a WDW regular then you probably don't need it, and like they said above, i don't think you need to subscribe in order to use the reservation finder.

I can't seem to figure how to sign up for the reservation finder without a subscription. So I might just crack and subscribe anyway. Disney's app won't even work on my phone as it is.

Yes, it's worth it. We used it 45 days out for our August trip and are using it again for our December trip in two months. Their room request and (beta) ADR reservation finder features are terrific. But for me the killer option is simply the ability to put together an in-advance or even on-the-fly touring plan for any park, any day, any span of hours and have a reliable idea of what wait times will be. I created a couple of bespoke touring plans for our August trip to focus and maximize a few specific hours of time at MK and AK, and it helped a lot. TP is much more than just the plans they create themselves.

Another vote for it being worth it just for the Lines app. We're 11 months out from our next trip, and I'm going to subscribe again just before we hit 180 days.

Do you think the Lines app has more reliable info than the wait times in MDE?
Definitely. It's user-driven - when you get on line, you note the time, then you check in again just as you board. It also posts the posted time along with it. So, as long as users are posting their wait times, it's pretty accurate.

as others have said, well worth the $$ just for the lines app. I found the discount code on their website and paid $10.36.
Made FP+ 3 weeks ago but have been checking the app most nights to see how long the stand by wait time is figure out if I might want to change and FP+ for another ride that has a longer line in the evenings.

also has menus and many have food allergy details.

I used it for my daughter the day before she left on a WDW school trip, booked all of their fast passes the day before. Worked great!

I was at WDW and had to change an O'hana reservation from 3 to 5. Was unsuccessful until the night before when the reservation tracker was able to find one when I was leaving the MK after a Halloween Party. If you are staying on-site you can find the exact room that you want and Touring Plans will send a fax requesting the area you want. It worked great for us on our last trip. I used it extensively and felt it was all worth the money.

Love Touring Plans. They have found three different dining reservations I was not able to find for the exact times I wanted!!!!! Also, love the fact you can see a picture from any room from any resort and then request that room on TP! Also love their custom touring plans based on how fast or slow you want to walk and how much walking you want to do. It is a great company offering great services! Love them and will get them every trip about 4-6 months before I go.
