We have never tried Tony's. I can't believe it but it's true. We need a lunch option for our last day at MK and we have tried EVERYTHING else. Is Tony's really that bad? We plan on panini sandwiches and they souund sooooo good. (could be becase I am dieting and have lost 5 out of 10 pounds though. I will pretty much eat cardboard at this point!) :sad2:

We ate there and I wouldnt say it was bad, but it wasnt great and way overpriced. Everyone has an opinion, why not give a try anyway?

We had lunch there about 2 weeks ago and really enjoyed it. We did not have pasta, Mom had the 1/2 sandwich & salad lunch, then added soup. I had a dinner salad and the chicken parmesan sub sandwich. We both had cinnamon gelato for dessert. It was yummy! I'd recommend splitting the dessert, though, it is a LARGE serving of gelato.

We ate lunch last year and we really enjoyed it. I love the decoration and the AC!!!!!

I liked it enough that I made another ADR for this summer. Besides my DD loves the pizza, I cannot dissapoint her.

I just checked the menus at allears, and no desserts are listed. Anybody know if they have any? and what they are?

It really is that bad. Try the Kona Cafe at POLY, WCC at WL if you have the meal plan you might even try Concourse Steakhouse.

Just do a search. BAD is the most common review followed by mediocre or average. If I couldn't get anything else I'd settle for a counterservice meal.

We've never had a bad meal at Tony's.

Yes, it is overpriced, but what isn't overpriced at Disney? We've always had very nice experiences at Tony's.

Give it a try. It's alot of fun to watch all the 'happenings' on Main Street while dining on the front porch of the restaurant.

Now see, it really varies here. We used to enjoy Kona (although we liked it better when it was Coral Isle). But the last 3 times we've eaten there, the service was awful. The last time marked Kona off our "list" of Acceptable restaurants. We had to send our food back because it was cold by the time it arrived, then we waited another 25 minutes for "fresh" food that also wasn't too great. I'd take Tony's over Kona based on recent experiences.

We enjoy Tony's. I especially like the ravioli!

We didn't really enjoy Tony's all that much with our 1 and 3 year olds. It did seem a little overpriced for what we got in comparison to the other Disney restaurants that we really enjoy. It was my husband's 27th birthday and when the waiter brought out the cake, he made a remark about "It's his 30th birthday....again <wink>." My husband's face just blanched. I said "Umm..he's only 27." The waiter just kind of went "Whatever" and walked away. Really weird.

I wouldn't say that it was terrible, but we only went back one time after that and it was because we couldn't get a PS anywhere else in the MK one night when we were staying for something or other. I don't think that I would go back given some of the other choices. We just tried Liberty Tree for lunch for the first time in December and really liked their food.

Like someone else mentioned...I guess most of the restaurants can be really good and really dull depending on the day!

I've eaten at Tony's once. Both DFi and I liked it and are going back (I think) for a meal during our honeymoon. It's not the best italian I've ever had, but it beats counter service food.

I've never been there for lunch, but I have been there for dinner a couple of times. We liked it enough the first time we were there that we went back on our next vacation. My DW loved the eggplant and DD had to have the Tony's Spaghetti just like Lady and Tramp.

This is a tough decision. I am having a hard time planning the last day of our trip since we are changing hotels from the BWV to ? Right now we are at the FQ but hoping to switch to WL. I thought I would just do a lunch ressie at MK to avoid confusion about a breakfast ressie since it is unclear where we will be. I just don't know if I should take a chance.

Thanks for the help!

I tried it last year and I really enjoyed it. I sat in a room towards the front and was able to see Main St. while I ate. Food was good and so was the service. We had lunch so it wasn't that expensive.

how you can get so many different reactions to this restaurant. We ate there for dinner and really enjoyed it. We are Italian and from NY so we're used to really good Italian food. This was fine, not the best but definately would eat there again.

We tried Tony's twice for dinner and won't be going back. The food was okay, the atmosphere was nothing special, IMO, and both times we went I felt rushed. I think the food is overpriced for what it is...it isn't that good. There are so many better options around the monorail and we always have had a wonderful meal at Cinderella's (non-character meals). If it sounds good to you, TRY IT! Everyone has different tastes and expectations.
