Is Thunder Mountain readily available as a 4th FP+?

We will be in MK Tuesday next week. We are planning on focusing on Fantasyland in the morning then BOG before our midday break. I secured 2 early FP in Fantasyland, and I grabbed a morning Thunder Mountain FP in fear I would not be abe to get it as a 4th FP later on. However, I want to minimize the walking, and I am considering switching it to another Fantasyland FP.

If I get to a kiosk around 12pm to select BTMR as a 4th FP+ for after 5pm, do you think it is risky? How has availability been lately?

Thank you!

You should have no trouble accomplishing this. I randomly check FP+ availability for different rides and can usually get good results. For instance, I just now checked for availability for BTMR for this evening and found 2 times to choose from and it is 9:30 PM Orlando time so that is pretty good.

We were at Magic Kingdom today and at 5:50 PM there was a FastPass available for 4 people.

Yes.

And BTMRR is one of the rides that have actually seen significant wait time DROPS since FP+ has been initiated. You might even want to secure a Jungle Cruise, POTC or Haunted Mansion fastpass before that one, as they could all very well have longer standby times.

Dumb question....i know...

How do you check for fastpass availability if you have already booked your 3 for the day?

Can you check on MDE somehow?

That's great news :yay:! I'm going to pick a different morning fastpass then.

As soon as SDMT came online, I switched my BTMRR out for it. My three morning fastpasses for my MK days are now Space Mountain, SDMT, and Splash. Worst case scenario for that one for me would be just booking BTMRR as the fourth after I get off of Splash if the standby is too long.

I ended up switching it for Peter Pan. Thanks for the input everyone!

I'm not in the park using FP, I'm sitting at home curiously checking for availability to try and better understand how easily I will be able to obtain additional FP once I am there.

I've heard from a number of people this should be possible. I'll be at MK on Sunday and have reserved FP+s for Space, Splash, and 7DMT, so I'm hoping I'll be able to score on for BTMRR as soon as I'm done with the ones I have. I will post back with a report.

Andyman8, keep us posted!

We used our 3 fast pass selections by noon on Sunday Hollywood studios and Tuesday Magic Kingdom. When we went to get our 4th fast pass at the local Kiosk there were no other Fast Pass options available for any of the major rides. The stand by wait times averaged anywhere from 120 to 150 minutes. I'm not standing in line that long for any ride. We went over to Universal Studios, small lines with limited wait times. After being a loyal DVC member for over ten years it might be time to sell my DVC membership.
