IS three days enough for DL

We will be arriving on October 29 and will be leaving on Nov 1. We will not be going into the park on the first. Is that enought time or should we stay an extra day? We were going to do the first day at DCA and then the second at DL and DCA if needed, the third day we are going to MHP and plan on spending the day at DL.

Is the reasonable? We will not be traveling with children.

This is plenty of days in my opinion, especially since no children will be with you.
We've done DLR with 3 day park hoppers, my parents, myself and my sister when we were a bit older, in our late teen years, and the 3rd day was kinda just re-doing everthing we loved the first 2 days! Seeing as though you are going Halloween weekend, I suspect larger crowds, but 3 days still sounds fine.
But if you are willing to spend extra money then I say do an extra day just for the heck of it! You won't be as rushed since you know you have an extra day in the parks.

3 days=doable
4 days=very doable/more relaxed approach
have fun:tigger:

You are asking a bunch of disney-addicts... most are going to say the more the better.... no kids makes 3 days doable, but I agree with the PP, 4 days would be so much better, especially since you are there over Halloween and the crowds could be crazy!

Three days is enough time, but personally, I would do four. It is just nice to get that little bit of extra time to do whatever. But it doesn't matter how many days you spend, it is never enough.

Last year after doing eight days I told my husband as we were leaving that I hadn't had enough of Disneyland!! Too bad we don't live closer:sad2:

We would love to stay longer but I get not paid time off. I just wanted to make sure we can at least have enough time to go on every ride at least once and enjoy the park. I think we will plan a more extended trip next time. Which really means I have to start saving now for my missing days at work since I am the one who brings in the most money.

We did three days in October last year and had plenty of time to ride everything we wanted to ride as many times as we wanted to ride. There were three of us: two adults and one 13yo.

I wouldn't rule out park hopping, though, especially when DL opens earlier and stays open later than DCA.

Doable... but you won't get everything done.

Pick what you really want to see before hand.

Make sure you read the Fastpass stickies at the top of this forum to get the most out of your limited time.

Three days is definitely enough to get most things done. I would think not having children with you would make it easier.

Being in line outside DL before opening in the morning and using fastpasses will be your biggest helps. Also, you really should park hop. On the weekend, Disneyland will open at 8 AM and DCA will start letting people through the front gates at 9:30. You would have 1 1/2 - 2 hours at Disneyland to ride things and gather fastpasses and still be able to be at DCA near opening time. Plus, you might find it convenient to go back and forth during the day so you can fit in all the various shows or to avoid one park or the other during more crowded times.

With no kids it's more doable but even with no kids I'd rather be there at least 4 full days, and that's not counting travel days. I would make a list of what you feel you must do and make sure you know how FP works and you'll do very well. :)

3 days is perfect, but like the others said - more is always better :goodvibes

It used to be that three days at DLR was enough. With World of Color at DCA it is getting harder to say that.

World of Color is not to be missed. If you have not seen Fantasmic at DL that also should not be missed. That is two evenings. If you want to see fireworks - and that is common year round - that is a third night. While it is possible to double those up on a night it is a bit challenging and requires a late night show. If you see all three on separate nights that requires of course three nights. Which really sucks up a lot of time and IMO means you really need four days at DLR now that WOC is running. :)

The good thing is that they'll see the Halloween Screams fireworks when they go to the MHP on the third night, so that may take care of the fireworks issue for the trip.
