Is this wrong?

My DH makes more than me. I used to feel funny about that, since I have a college degree (he does not) and I am a really hard worker (he is, but the nature of his job is different). He is NYPD and gets many more days off and is able to be a bit more lax (works inside the precint, not on patrol). Regardless, I am a bit better with $ (that is what my career is in). So, I was able to use my savings for the down payment on our house, while DH can contribute more $ towards the monthly pymts. I am able to stretch my money more than he can, as I always shop sales, etc. I do things and have given up things to contribute to our home in ways other than money. I work at home FT for less than I should be so I can raise our DD1 (also have 2 older DDs from a previous marriage). I am also independant and have a little too much pride in this respect, but there is more involved in a relationship than money. When it comes to holding up my end, I more than match him, even with him making more than me. I am able to supply more "things" and more of the housework/caretaking. So I don't think you should fret so much about the exact dollar amount of your salaries. If you work 7 days a week, you are only punishing yourself.
