I am thinking of doing the gold plan at DW. You get meals, recreation, passes for the 6 days ia m there, $3000.00. Has anyone ever done this and find it worth it?:D

Gail I haven't tried that package, but I've read about various packages. It seems like many of the packages offer an assortment of activities that look good on paper, but would be difficult to actually use them all. Similar deal with food: I'm betting you'd have to be a BIG eater and spend a lot of time at sit-down meals to get the most out of the package. Perhaps this package has more flexibility. I'd like to learn more about it too.:earsboy:

We (myslef, DH, DS11 & DS7) have done the Silver Plan. I think the Gold Plan would be difficult to get your $ worth. It would take so much time to do 3 sit down meals per day plus the recreations and your parks. With the Silver Plan we found that we had plenty of wishes (2 wishes per person per night stay). We used 1 wishes for dinner every night(including Hoop Dee Doo) except 2 nights we did go to a restaurant that required 2 wishes. We also rented a plontoon boat and 2 water mice during our stay. We had enough wishes to also get some of the merchandise that they offer. The plan was very convenient to use and you never have a second thought about ordering an expensive item on the menu. The price for the Silver Add on for DS11 was the same as an adult (about $70pp/pn) so he also ate as an adult ~ surf and turf almost every night for him!! So for us with was well worth it.

$3K for 6 days

$500 a day at WDW

That just seems like a lot of dinero, but I am not sure what it inkludes

It includes EVERYTHING...
My boyfriend and I have used this plan 2x in the past year and we LOVE it.
We're big on nice meals, and we got to eat in all of our favorite restaurants. We ussually sat down for breakfast and dinner and did a counter service restaurant. We stayed for 7 days both times and had plenty of time for everything we wanted to do. Really, we just liked the convenience of it all even though it was a bit more money, we really felt it was worth it.
We did the water mice and other boats a few times, had great meals, did every park (not the water parks, we dont ussually do them), Disney Quest, etc...Convenience alone, I think its definatly worth it, but people may disagree.
If you like to eat, and dont mind relaxing on some days, and not going on ALL the rides, its a good choice! I have heard, however, that the silver plan is also very good.
If you have any questions, feel free to send me a PM! We stayed at POR both times, but ive also stayed at CBR, BC, and ASMu. :)

for 3,000 I would want someone to stand in the lines for me, and bath me at the end of the day

LMAO!:teeth:

DH and I have done the Silver Package two years in a row and will do it again this year. We find it be more convienent to use the magical wishes, they offer of a variety of options and not obligations on food and recreation. Plus with the price you are paying we paid that in August for 11 days. Doing the Gold Plan is totally dependent on how you and your family like to eat.

Thanks guys for helping me. I did do the silver plan, seams more suitable for us. we will use our wishes each day for a good dinnner plus one night go to the Hoop HDR. We like to eat but 3 meals a day is to much and all the choice, wouldnt be worth the $4000.oo. This plan for 6 days is $2491.00 staying at WL. YC was sold out plus it was about $500.00 more. When I broke down the days and figured out what we would spend on the dinners and boat time in the lagoon I thought it was a sweet deal or as sweet as you can get for Disney. I would love to know how people with kids go there, the cost is big $$$$$$$$$ :D
