Is this worth adding points for?

Considering adding more points at SSR for the 15% off, if we like it on our December trip.

But, we're not going to WDW next year, as we will be honeymooning in Hawaii. But, we could definitely use the points for future trips. My reason for wanting to add now rather than later was to take advantage of the 15% with the thought that if we can't get an Hawaii swap for our Honeymoon, we would use the points for a Hawaii Concierge Collection. Is the concierge collection quite easy to book just under a year out. And would it be worthwhile getting these points now, as opposed to paying cash for Hawaii, and buying an add on in one year's time?

Would welcome all advice and opinions. Thanks.

If you plan on using the points for your future vacatoin, and have the financial resorces to comfortably add-on now, it seems like a wise thing to do.

If, however, it would be a financial hardship, or you are planning to buy the points solely with the iintent of "renting them out" instead of using them yourself, I'd advise against it.

Thanks Chuck. No way I'm renting out these points - i have them earmarked for at least the next five years or so. Just figured - i want more points - no point in buying more points that i can't use for next year as doing the big Hawaii trip (airfares are extortionate from the uk), and it would save hotel costs for hawaii.

My guide called back, and he says i can still have the 15% discount when i visit SSR on my december trip, so I'm doing an add on of 200 points - which will give me 350 in total - can't wait.
