is this what a transfer means?

My resort choice and room choice means I need 158 points and lets say I only have 58 points and I need 100 more to make my reservation ..

Then I find someone who will do a transfer of 100 points do those go into my dvc account so then i would have 158 points or I would have to make 2 different resservations??

Correct. With a transfer, you will have the points in your account to use. They are supposed to retain their original home resort and UY.

thanks so if the person owns akl and they transfer to me i can only use those points for akl or after 7 months i could book anywhere??
