It's insensitive posts like these that make me want to delete myself from the board. Unfortunately, for some oddball reason, I cannot delete myself, so I will just say if I hear one more negative reply or name calling or anything like that, I will personally go to an Admin and have my screen name physically removed from the database.

I always knew my non-conformist attitudes would cause contraversy in a family-friendly forum such as this one, and this almost proves my case.

I should have known that bringing up such a topic like this would cause a controversy. If I get another negative reply to this thread which paints me as a psycho creep with unnatural fantasies about fictional characters, then I will consider deleting myself from this board.

I don't think anyone was suggesting that you leave the DIS, you asked an honest question: "Is this weird to you?" and we gave our honest opinions. Some with levity some without. Different people see things different ways. I think the controversy is seated in the omission of certain facts that you elude to but do not elaborate on. Whether purposeful or not they seem on the surface to be baiting statements. Thus the question of how sincere this is. I could not nor would not call you or anyone else here a psycho creep as I do not know you. I can only base my reaction on the facts as they are presented to me. I apologize if this offends unduly.

What I found...odd is the phrases used. Maybe you had no intention of making statements that imply creepy things, but try to look at it from the perspective of someone who does not know you. Phrases like "Had to control myself," "attempts that backfire," "fantasize about" "infatuated with" and the vague implications about an "incident" make people's minds wander. I apologize if this offends you.

Like I said you either weird or a troll. I think your posts should be reported to Disney management and let them decide what to do with them. If you are not a troll entertaining yourself by causing controversy on this board you should keep these thoughts to yourself.

As far as deleting yourself, please do it now! You won't of course, because your either trolling or want attention because you are weird. JMO of course

I, too, apologize for being so vague in describing my ordeal, but I just can't imagine myself in that situation and having it take a turn for the worse. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the characters didn't want me to be around them anymore, and if that happened, then there's just no point in visting Disney or owning any of their merchandise. I've invested so much in Disney, and I just can't afford to give it up. My sister has a condo in Florida, for crying out loud, so she likes Disney as much as I do. If she found out about "The Thing", then she'd have the same reaction as you all would have. It's just not cool.

What is the "Thing" you keep referring to. It does sound like you could use some professional help. I am not being ugly just concerned about another human being. If this is for real then you should consider talking to someone about it before things get out of hand.

Okay, maybe "infatuation" is a poor choice of words, and I understand what you are saying. I don't overly obsess over them, nor do I shy away from them. In fact, with the new light shed on this topic, I'm thinking that maybe I should just limit myself to the Storytime with Belle greeting, and only meet Ariel with a group of like-minded individuals, preferably other DISers.

And know that I would never try to make these so-called "fantasies" a reality, because they're always known to backfire on me. I would let the character run the show, just as Aladdin has when he went through each drawing in my sketchbook as moments from the mov.. I mean, his life.

Before I get an email confirmation that my account with DIS has been deleted, let me elaborate on this dreaded "Thing", which somebody suggested that I do.

It all started at the Soundstage Restaurant back in September of 1998 (you would know Soundstage Restaurant as the current home for Playhouse Disney). It was here that Aladdin looked through my sketchbook and was equally impressed at the contents of it. When I had my picture taken with him, and I casually mentioned that I would put it up on my website, Aladdin asked for the website address. Knowing that he might snitch on me for having Disney fanart on my site, I gave him my hotmail address (now defunct), to which I would contact him further, when he "returned to Agrabah".

A year later, I recieved an email from someone who sounded familiar to Aladdin, complimenting me on my website. I'm thinking, "If this Disney individual liked my website, then think of what the other Disney indivduals would think?" I printed a set of business cards with my website address on it, and gave them out to a few characters whom I thought would appreciate it. That was my first mistake.

Flash forward to 2002, meeting Snow White and, in a rare appearance, her prince at the Town Square Expo Center, back when they had characters in that particular area. I show them my sketchbook, and instantly, the prince mentioned that he knew about Aladdin seeing my website and how impressed both of them were. How would I know that Aladdin and Prince Larry (I'm calling him this because he needs a name!) know each other? Do they go bowling together? Anyway, armed with this knowledge, my stupid little brain goes, "Well if these people like this, then I'm going to pass my website to every character I meet!" And that was my second mistake.

Finally, word gets out that there's some nutcase passing out a website to characters that don't really care about other people's websites, and I get reprimanded by the head of the Character Bosses, and he issued consequences to me. Now I could have taken this two ways:

A> I could have put up a fight, have the consequences thrown upon me, and therefore declaring Disney evil, sending everything I owned with Disney on the label back to the company demanding a refund.
B> I could have backed down, denied myself the luxury of character greeting, and wonder if I should visit Disney anymore.

Needless to say, I opted for the latter.

Now that you know the truth, I'm going to have nightmares now.

Given the costume the CMs playing Jasmine have to wear, I can only imagine the grief they've had to put up with. In fact, the alumni of that particular role could probably write a book about the experience!

Yes, I was also going to say I looked at his home page, and ummm....well, I'm sorry you have been misunderstood all your life, but to the outside world you do, in fact, appear, a bit disturbed.

That's not an attack, it's a fact. I have absolutely no idea what has gone on in your life but I would definitely recommend you stay away from Disney characters until you get some other issues resolved.
