Is this week booked for DVC?

Im crunching numbers and renting DVC is a possibility. I was wondering how booked up the week of December is getting in terms of DVC studio availability?
Do you think that timeframe will have less availibility once the 7th month Mark rolls around?

I'm looking at that full week 12/10-16

Against forum rules to search availability but as a general rule, the first two weeks of December are extremely busy for DVC, like two of the three busiest DVC weeks.

Miost rooms in that timeframe will be booked in 11 month window and what little is left will be picked over at exactly the 7 month window.

As a renter, if you haven't booked by now, it's probably almost too late. I certainly wouldn't wait until the 7 month window opens, that'll be too late.

Oh, I wasn't wanting specific availability, I was thinking historic info with general numbers now and figuring if general DVC would be limited (not any specific resort).

I'm sorry if general availability questions are against rules, I thought only specific requests were.

General availability isn't against the rules that's why I tried to answer that.

Basically, if you want to rent points for the 2nd week of Dec, time is not your friend. You you start looking immediately.

In addition to availability, you may encounter difficulty even finding the points you need to book prior to the 7 month window. Even the brokers seem to have a shortage of points qualified to book at 11 months. The shortage is especially acute at the near park resorts.

It's not December but if you're willing to change dates last night i just booked a week in a one bedroom at wilderness for nov 24 to dec 1 using our dvc points. We like the week after thanksgiving because Christmas decorations are up and the very merry Christmas party is always available

It can be a possibility to get a studio then - SSR will be the most likely and others less likely or no chance at all.

Eugh, well that is something to figure out. Lol looks like we may be out of luck with DVC for early December.
I suppose we will check once we have enough deposit (for renting) but don't expect much of anything

AKV and OKW are the others that will tend to have availability longest and could have a chance. And with CCV just opening that might have a chance although there aren't a lot of studios that are part of the initial declaration.

Oh thank you, AKV was one of the few we were looking at but OKW could work as well with our accommodation needs. I'll hope for the best but prepare for the worst!

Do remember that most rentals are going to require at least half when the reservation is made - and frequently the full amount. Payment is due in full generally much earlier than with a regular Disney reservation.
