I was wondering if we could start a thread with estimates on $$$ spent on your recent vacation that included DL. Don't get me wrong the memories are priceless, but maybe it will help others budget.

I will start:

Two adults one child under three
Driving from AZ to CA
SoCal City Pass
Hotels
Parking at two of the parks (SW and SD WAP)
Gasoline
Food
Character Brunch
Drinks
Souveniers
*Boarding three dogs from Tuesday to the following Monday*

GRAND TOTAL: Approx $1700

WOW that is cheap.

Here is our estimated costs for our upcoming trip:
Flights-$1500.00
Hotel-$924.00
5 day hopper pass, Knotts, Sea World and one character breakfast-$1222.00
Candlelight Processional-$110.00
Car Rental-$500.00
Insurance-$350.00
---------------------
4600.00

Plus food, souveneirs, drinks, tips, etc....
I am thinking it will be around $1100.00 for that which brings the total to a whopping.....
$5700.00usd which equals $6775.00 cadollars

YIKES!! Dont tell my hubby! I told him it would cost around $4000!!

Our upcoming trip:

2 adults, 3 kids (one is under 3)
driving from Arizona to California

(2) 3-day adult PH passes and (2) 3-day child PH passes = $389.50
gasoline estimate for a big ol' van which gets bad mileage = $200.00*
4-night stay in a regular QQ room at the Carousel = $357.65
food for the car trip, snacks for the hotel = $100.00*
approx. (1) meal each day at the park = $120.00*
breakfast outside our room at most (2) of the days = $60.00*
souvenirs and misc. (we're not big on that stuff) = $100.00*

GRAND TOTAL = $1327.15 (*starred* amounts are overestimates; better safe than sorry)

This is fun!
We are two adults....no kids.
Here's our budget (well, kind of - I'm still working on it)
1) Train tickets on the Southwest Chief from New Mexico to Fullerton - $116 for two, roundtrip
2) 5 nights at Radisson Maingate, includes 4 day parkhopper bonus for both, and 5 day minnie dining plan (includes each per person 3 snack vouchers, character breakfast, character dinner, 2 breakfasts in the park, and $70 in other vouchers for meals), ART passes for entire stay - $1200
3) rental car for two days - $60 plus gas $20 and parking at the hotel $20
4) Knotts Berry Farm for the two of us, and two friends - FREE!
5) taxi to and from the train stations - $30
6) additional meals - $150

Some of this hasn't been figured out yet (the additional meals specifically) and whatever we've got left over will be for souvies. we're not big souvie people, except for pressed pennies and postcards - so figure $20 tops for that.

Total is about $1600.

Ok so here goes, one adult and one child 5 and 1/2. Airfare from Oregon to SNA, five nights at the DLH, five day park hoppers, $2083.00. (this is for January) We get a 150 gift card to use at the parks and I haven't figured out the rest yet, we eat pretty light, often sharing, take water and munchies, all total I am sure I will be under $3,000. Seems like a lot and I know I could do it cheaper if we stayed off site and flew into LAX, but we take one nice trip a year or so and I want it to be great. I am a fan of convience on trips when it's just us. I figure I work hard all year so we deserve it. (Nice justification isn't it.) :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

Still working on mine (and it's an estimate as the trip's still coming up), but so far...
for family of 4 (3 adults, 1 child, high season :) )

Flight from Canada: $2100 CDN includes taxes, etc.
Rental car for 11 days: $260 US (our own insurance should cover)
11 nights Candy Cane Inn: approx. $1400 CDN including taxes (using CAA/AAA)
8 day Disney park hopper pass for 4, 1 day Seaworld passes for 4, 1 day Legoland for 4, "Glory of Christmas" at Crystal Cathedral for 4: $960 US
Haven't figured in food, souvenirs, etc. as I'm avoiding it! :sunny:, but we will be taking snacks/drinks with us and hopefully making a few suppers of sandwiches, etc.
Any money-saving tips greatly appreciated!!

Middle of summer-2nd week of july
6 nights/5 days 1 bedroom suite at DLH
5 day park hopper with 1 bonus attraction
1 character breakfast for 4
driving over from AZ
concierge-so most breakfast and snacks included
Used AAA for discount
$3500-includes all taxes and resort stay fees

Need to figure budget for souvenirs
we each want golden ears and Disney Build A Bear

Cost for remainder of meals and fuel costs

Our price including air for 2 adults and 2 kids 5 and under. Staying at DLH for 6 nights and 6 day hopper and air about $3600. Still will add on another $1200 for food and extras.

Me too, me too!!

For that price you must be staying at the GCH for about a month!
I imagine flights are a HUGE expense too.

Ok, I'll bite:

Flight from Tri Cities, Washington to SNA, 1100 ish

Five nights, six days, GCH, standard view (June) 2100 ish (AAA, this includes parkhoppers)

Fantasmic buffet for 3, 160 ish

Taxi to and from, 80

Food/souveniers/parking at home airport 1000 ish (probably a bit less)

Ishy total: 4400. Damn. I can't afford this trip!
