Is this too much travel time?

We plan on spending our last day at MK and have a 5:30 adr at Cape May and then the Pirates and Pals cruise that evening for wishes. We can't stay past 7 anyway because it's a MVMCP night. My question is how long will it take to get from MK to CM? Does this seem like too much back and forth that we'd waste too much time? (This will be our 3rd day at MK so I'm not worried so much.)

MK to CM (Beach Club) will be no problem, 40-50 mins, more or less depending on wait time and stops.

I think the trip back will be slightly more time consuming. IIRC, the cruise is from the CR, so you will have to bus to MK and walk or take the monorail one stop to Contemporary, which is more trouble than its worth at park closing. I would schedule 50-60 mins return.

We've done plenty of hopping like that, but with a rental car. But it's your vacation, so enjoy it anyway you want. Sometimes, the bus ride is good down time to just catch your breath, chat, or post to Facebook your AMAZING WDW pics!

in my opinion only, I wouldn't go all the way to Beach Club and back for Cape May. Will you already have exhausted all the restaurants in the MK area? I'd never give up what will amount to 2:30 hrs of MK time to get to dinner when I could make a 7PM ressie somewhere on the monorail line (or Wilderness Lodge), stay at MK til they throw me out, have a nice dinner and be at CR for the cruise.

Maybe because it'll be your 3rd day there, but I always find that last day to be too short even if I can stay til midnight!!

Thanks! This is what I was thinking :(

I kinda agree - if you're at the MK, and want to leave for a special dinner, I'd look into one of the monorail resorts (you can walk to the CR). Cape May is nice, but to go over from the MK just to eat there (if you're not staying at the BC) it's just a bit much to me. I'd plan Cape May on an Epcot day (but there are so many places in Epcot to eat at too - we like lots of the counter service places there even).

Another voice for 'find a different restaurant'. I'm not all that crazy about Cape May for dinner anyway, but others really like it. I would try to find a dinner closer to MK...maybe over at WL or the GF.

Thanks everyone! I managed to grab a 6:00 pm 1900 Park Fare so I think that's perfect! Close to MK and plenty of time to get to the cruise :)
