Is this Robby Benson's daughter???

I saw a small news item about an aspiring actress, Lyric Benson, who had been killed by her ex-boyfriend this week. She was only 21. The name sounds so familiar I am afraid that it is Robby Benson's daughter, but I have quickly found a couple of sites about him that only say he has two kids, not their names, but the older one in a picture is definately a girl. He's been married since 82 so theoretically it could be her. None of the stories so far have mentioned it, but I seem to remember his daughter having an unusual name! Any Benson fans out there know anything?

I didn't hear anything about the news story, but I DO know that his daughter's name IS Lyric! OMG! I hope it's not true, but I'm going to look for news stories that might tell about it.

I'm not sure, but I know Robbie Benson sings and with a name like Lyric, it very well could be his daughter. So sad......

No... it's not. I was actually reading the paper yesterday and they stated that their was some confusion but this is someone different.

I did a search on Lyric Benson and this came up (It summarizes a movie they are in). Sounds like Lyric is his daughter. So sad.

There have been several stories in our CT. newspapers about the murder because Ms. Benson graduated from Yale. There is no mention that Robby Benson was her father. It states that Ms. Benson's mother, Deborah, was visiting and witnessed her daughter being murdered. Robby Bensons wife/ mother of his children is Karla.
A sad story.

It's not Robby Benson's daughter, but another rising actress with the same name. Still very sad.

No it is not Robby Benson's daughter.

The poor girl was shot right in front of her mother as her mother opened the door to let her in. She was killed by her boyfriend who also killed himself. Lyric has been appearing in American Express posters for the upcoming Tribeca Film Festival and has had parts in soap operas and Law & Order. Her mother was visiting from North Carolina and I believe it said her father lives in Arizona.

Lyric was kept on life support until her organs could be donated. She died yesterday.

I saw this in the paper today, its so sad. They had a big picture of her, she was just beautiful. It said that they were engaged, but she broke it off with him 7 weeks ago.

A lot of press here too since we're close to New Haven where she was a student. Very sad story. Don't know if anyone could have forseen him doing this, but he sure had a shady background. No one knew what he did for a living.

When my nephew was in his senior year at Yale, he was her Freshman advisor.

Needless to say, he's very upset about what happened.
