Is this reasonable a reasonable hope for MK?

We are scheduled to travel in mid March and my family has been naming things they want to do in each park. Based on what people have experienced recently, does this seem like a reasonable wish list for a day at MK barring any rides being down etc? We would plan to head for the park before opening in the hopes of getting at least one ride in before the official park opening.

Like you said, barring any unforeseen interruptions in service (weather, tech difficulties, etc), that is a reasonable list to accomplish in a day. That being said, some of the lines move quickly and others move more slowly. Example: AstroOrbiters tends to move more slowly due to limited capacity. Haunted Mansion tends to move more 'quickly' due to a continuous load model. Just realize that lines determine your 'volume' of success. Have a great trip!!

I can tell you about my experience earlier this month. We had 2 days in MK. Day 1 we arrived 15 minutes after park opening. We got 5 rides in by the time we left at about 6pm. It was a VERY frustrating day (a Monday) where lines were long everywhere.

Our 2nd day we arrived at 7:15 am (45 minutes before park opening) and rode 3 rides before official park opening. We did 9 rides before we left at about 10am. It was a much better day.

SO my suggestion is to arrive 45 minutes to an hour before park opening.

Been there done that. Feels like the worst place to be is right behind the rope drop crowd. I remember our first trip after 7DMT opened, we hadn't been to WDW in about 5 years. Arrived at MK right at opening thinking we were rope dropping, lol. Ran to 7DMT first thing with a 75 min posted wait (ended up being 90), it was down to 35 minutes posted by the time we got off.

I guess I figured that since park opened at 8am people wouldn't be there for a bit. WRONG! We also were staying at OKW and while busses come pretty quickly there, we were the first stop so had to go through all of the other stops before leaving for the park. That takes at least 20 minutes before even leaving the resort. But it was seriously busier than it was last year in October at 8am on a party day. We had the whole park to ourselves last october for over an hour.

Depends on how you tour etc., but yes definitely doable with a good, organized plan.
