First time at WDW, going during free dining from Sept 11-17th. It's our first family trip and I have young kids so planning as many character meals as possible. Tell me what you think....if I call right at my 90 day mark, do you think these are possible?

Saturday (12th)
CRT -backup Crystal Palace - backup 1900 Park Fare- breakfast
Chef Mickey - backup Ohana- backup 1900 Park Fare - dinner

Sunday (13th)
Mama Melrose (Fantasmic Dinner Pkg) - backup 50's Prime

Monday (14th)
Crystal Palace - or CRT if I can get it
Ohana dinner (If I had to do this on the 12th, then try for Chef Mickey)

Tuesday (15th)
Akershus breakfast - Cape May back up
Coral Reef - Garden Grill back up - dinner

Wednesday (16th)
Tusker House - breakfast

We will plan on paying for one meal out of pocket (CRT if we get it).

How many back ups do you think I should have handy? Is one generally enough or should I plan on having 3 or 4 back ups?

I'm so nervous about making ADR's because I don't know what to expect and it seems like everyone in the world knows to call right at that 90 day mark making it almost impossible to eat where you want - AHHHH :scared1:

I think you'll do fine. While it's good to have a back up or two for the free dining time it is also probably a good idea for a back up time also.

If I want to go to CP for breakfast on Wednesday and I can't get an ADR I would try for an early lunch and change my plans for a quick breakfast in the room or at the hotel. Be at rope drop tour the parks until 11:45 lunch. After lunch I would go back to the room for naps or swimming and then back to the park around 4:30 or 5 for a CS dinner and more fun. OK probably more info than you wanted but you get the idea.

I can never have too much info when it comes to this trip - so thank you :thumbsup2

I just hope the characters will be there for lunch as well as breakfast. Anyone know if CP has characters for B L and D and if so, is it the same (Winnie the Pooh and friends) for each service?
