Is this possible?

I don't remember there being any direct park-to-park transportation until just a few years ago....??

I don't know exactly how long ago it started, but even as a kid I remember taking busses between the parks. And I haven't been a kid in a REALLY long time, lol!

My parents would often drop my younger sister and I off at a park for the day when they were going to a convention. And it was a big deal when they decided we were old enough to use the busses by ourselves to park-hop.

There has always been transportation between the parks.

Technically yes, since there have always been buses from DHS and DAK to the TTC,but only relatively recently have there been DAK and DHS buses that go DIRECTLY to Magic Kingdom.:)

Ah, gotcha. We rarely hop. But I do remember a couple of years back we hopped from DHS to MK and I remember the bus stop being so new, I had trouble finding a CM who could tell me where it was!

Sorry, but this needs to be cleared up for others reading.

There have been bus stops for MK at DHS ever since DHS has been built.

But, to the point of "new MK routes..."
Until about a year ago, the DHS-to-MK and DAK-to-MK bus route terminated at TTC.
Then, guests would ride the monorail or ferry to the MK gates.
That was the procedure for years and years.
(It is still that way for the Epcot-MK monorail route.)

BUT-
About a year ago, give or take, they expanded the bus terminal at the MK gates which
allowed for the MK buses to/from DHS and DAK to terminate at the MK gates, just like the
WDW resort buses do. That is now the current procedure.

Before the new loop was built at Magic Kingdom, there were no "Magic Kingdom" bus stops per se at DHS and DAK-the bus stops read "TTC"(Transportation and Ticket Center) so that may be where the "confusion" came from.:)

Ah, there you go! Semantics, but I get Robo's point. Takeaway is that now there is clear park-to-park transport, which makes hopping easy!

Until another report that a CM who "should know" these things doesn't. And then we're back to a new CM or a rearranged bus depot.

I'll put the over/under at about a week.

Since we're being nit-picky, I might as well point out that there is currently no direct transportation from MK to Epcot or vice versa - you have to transfer to a different monorail.

The bus routes were listed as "TTC/Magic Kingdom."

Definitely-MUCH easier and less confusion for new Guests!:)

To avoid new Guests from thinking Magic Kingdom and TTC were at the same "place" the signs didn't say "TTC/Magic Kingdom"-the sign at DAK read:

TTC
(Gateway to Magic Kingdom)

and the sign at DHS said:

TTC
(Transfer to Magic Kingdom)

So now with the direct route-no more confusion for new Guests!:)

How many of you were like me and used the Contemporary Resort for the DHS and DAK "transfer point" instead of TTC?:)
