Hello, I was thinking of making an ADR for the Rainforest Cafe in AK at 4:30pm. The park closes at 5:00pm that day. What are the chances of getting a bus from AK to MK after we're done our meal?

But there are no buses that run from Ak to MK.

Actually, I'm pretty sure there is a bus from AK to MK. Disney's website says there is:

And even if there weren't a bus from AK to MK - you could take a short bus ride to the AK Resort and take a bus from the resort to MK.

Call 407-wdw-magic to confirm, but the map shows that there may be a bus from AK to MK. If not, hop on the first available bus to any resort and then take a bus from there to Magic.

I believe the time when the park buses stop running is relative to the latest park's closing time in order to allow people that are park hopping to be able to return to their cars.

It's not a new feature, you probably just didn't know about it.

You should have no problem getting on the bus afterward to MK. We did this last year.. Had dinner at Yak & Yeti and then hopped right on the MK bus.. Very convenient!

It's not a new feature, you probably just didn't know about it.

I "think" they may be referring to the relatively new feature of the DAK buses going DIRECTLY to Magic Kingdom instead of to the TTC.

We left AK well over an hour after losing last year, and there were still tons of busses coming and going (both to resorts and parks). You won't have any trouble

Nope. There has been park-to-park transportation since there have been multiple parks.
(It's how "Park Hopping" is accomplished without needing a car.)


There is "direct" transportation between all the WDW theme parks.

The frequency of departure for each is approximately every 20 minutes, give or take, all day long.

Most routes are via Disney Buses.

Here are the "park-to-park" Disney Transportation direct connections:

MK> Epcot = Monorail to TTC, Switch to 2nd Monorail to Epcot
MK> DHS = Direct Bus
MK> AK= Direct Bus

AK> DHS= Direct Bus
AK> Epcot= Direct Bus
AK> MK= Direct Bus

DHS> MK= Direct Bus
DHS> AK= Direct Bus
DHS> Epcot= Direct Bus (Epcot Front Gate) or Boat (Epcot Intl. Gateway)
......Boats ("Friendships") make 3 interim stops at the Epcot area resorts.

The bus stops at the parks are also marked with signage.

As a rule-of-thumb, allow 40-60 minutes to get from the gates of one park to the gates of another park.
