Is this possible?

We have friends who are going to Disney a week before us. They purchased the Memory maker and to cut costs we want to share it. We are there at separate times so is this possible? How would I get our families pictures if they bought it?

I thought that Memory Makers you CAN share with friends and family? In fact looking at their website it says: 2. Add people to your Family & Friends list to enable you to view and download their photos.

So OP and friend would simply need to be "friends" on MDE to share photos, right?

I have not done this so can't say if I'm reading it correctly. Although I'm sure Disney meant this as a way for two families to share photos while travelling together, why wouldn't it work if Family A did their photos one week and Family B did their photos the next week? The photos expire 45 days after they are taken...and you have 30 days after the first download to get them all downloaded....so you'll need to be sure the timing will work.

MM is linked to a MDE account and not to a specific reservation. Anyone or any MDE that is linked to the MDE where MM is linked, will have their photos added to the MM account.

The downloading timelines begin with the first download. The MM account holder is in charge of the photos but can give sign in info to anyone.

Ok, so sounds like I was right, and OP's friend simply needs to add OP as a "friends and family" and then OP can use their MBs to take photos....and when OP's vacation is done both families just need to download the photos they want within the time requirements. Have a wonderful trip OP!

Then family 1 needs to include all members of family 2 in the sharing of the accounts. This is also done in friends ànd family add guest area, using the friends I know feature. All members in family 2 will need to accept the invitation also
Once that is done all photos taken when any MB in the shared group is scanned the photo will appear in family 1 photo pass account
Family 1 will either edit all photos or share the log in info with family 2 so they can do edits too

Yes. The time parameters begin when the first photo is downloaded. Family #1 can wait to begin downloading after Fam #2 completes their trip. As long as they complete everything within the period that the photos remain in the system, both families benefit from the MM account.

Some people buy MM, don't like any of the photos, and don't download anything and MM remains in their account until they complete a download on a subsequent trip.

Yes. If they are wearing MBs and have them scanned by photogs, the photos get sent to the MDE where MM is linked.

Make sure you have checked off each listed person as being able to "photo share."

THANK YOU all for your help with this-- @AngiTN and @hiroMYhero! One more--I'm sorry! They won't be able to see or edit, which is fine. But let's say Dad is the only one authorized to do so but just Mom and son go on a ride together (Dad manages their account). Will Mom and Son's photos still appear in the account since they're all linked together? I'm more worried about whose photos will be tracked, rather than who can actually access. Does that make sense? And same with the rest of my family members who don't have their own accounts. I manage for my husband and sons. Memory Maker is in my name. If they go on without me, will their ride photos show up?

Yes, if their names appear on the friend list of the primary owner of the MM the photos will appear in the photo pass account

My mom is going to Epcot for one day during the week prior to my vacation. She is attending the Zumba Convention and only has 1 day available to visit the parks. I purchased Memory Maker for my vacation with my girlfriend and her aunt. What I understand is that my mom will be able to scan her magic band and her photos will be uploaded to the memory maker, and we will still be able to use it on our trip a week later. This is all good as long as we wait to download the photos until we return from our trip?

Does that make sense/am I understanding the process correctly? TIA for your help!!

Be sure that Mom is included in your "Friend and Family".
