is this possible - tickets?

Don't know if this is the correct board to post on but I'll give it a try. I seem to remember reading somewhere that you can trade in unused tickets and apply them to your AP. Is this true or did I imagine it?
I have 1 adult and 1 child park hopper with 1 day left on them. My daughter will turn 10 next year and the child pass will be useless for us. We are getting APs in August and I wondered if I could trade them in. We won't be able to use the 1 day passes because I have booked an AP rate at POFQ and must have the AP to check in.
Any help would be great!

You can turn them in for credit, but don't be surprised if they don't remove much from the total. You may be better off holding on to them and using them during a subsequent trip.

Also Disney doesn't penalize a child for getting older. The child ticket can be turned into an adult one at Guest Relations.

You only need one AP for check-in. I would save the tickets for another trip. We still are using extra options on very old tickets in combination with our APs. And I do have a few admissions into the theme parks that I hang onto for our adult children in case they decide to join us.

The child ticket can be exchanged at no cost for an adult ticket, and then used as-is. (Not recommended to use it during a vacation of 5 to 10 theme park days when a new MYW pass of fewer than 10 days is also used)

If the adult ticket your child got in exchange is traded up later or almost immediately, its value is still the child ticket dollar value.

Thanks for the help. I didn't know you could trade a child ticket for an adult one! I think I will just hold onto them since they never expire.
