Hello all -

We are staying in an AoA suite in about two weeks. There are four of us on the reservation with the free dining plan and 7-day park hoppers.. My mother-in-law would like to come stay with us for the last 3 days of our 9 day trip but only wants to go to Universal and Typhoon Lagoon (she does not want any Disney park tickets).

I know if we add her to the reservation now she will be required to have the same package, but if she just shows up in Florida partway through can she simply stay with us in the room? Would that be allowed? Or would we need to pay some kind of stipend for her?

Many Thanks!!! :goodvibes

There"s a fee of $10 for each adult over the first 2.

This is true for standard value rooms, but not for family suites. You may may have up to 6 guests in your suite (adults or children) + 1 child under three. You will not pay the extra adult fee in the suite.

Simply add your mom to your room on the day she arrives so she can get a room key. There will be no extra charge and she will not have to purchase your package components.

She is free lol

When we added our daughter and her friend who are both over 18 to our suite at ASMu, we paid nothing for them and they both received keys to the room, no additional cost.

OK, well since you guys did such a great job with that one how about a bonus question? LOL :lmao:

Once she is added to the room (only), can we arrange last-minute Magical Express transportation for her since she will only have a carry-on bag?

You guys are the best! :thumbsup2

Yes, you can add her to the reservation after you check in. Someone recently posted about doing this, her husband was coming in for the last few days of their trip. The wife added him, arranged ME, and all was well. They should be able to help you at the front desk.

I was informed that there magical express has to be arranged 3 days in advance when we were planning a last minute trip a few weeks ago so check to make sure.

This may have been me. Interestingly I got DME vouchers for myself, DD and DH even though DH is arriving after us, on a different day, and he has not yet been added to my reservation!

I did it online. I don't think this is supposed to be allowed, but too late I have the voucher! I will add him to the reservation when I arrive so he'll be "legit", but at least he has a voucher and luggage tags.
