We are planning on spending the entire day (if we are feeling up to it) at MK on one day of our trip. We have reservations for the Luau at the Poly for 5:15pm. Would it be in bad taste to bring a change of clothes and change in a bathroom to "freshen up" before heading to the Luau? We are staying off-site, so it really wouldn't be worthwhile to go back and change, unless everyone things it's in bad taste to change at the park.

Thanks!

Personally, I don't see any problem with that. I am planning to take a change of clothes to AK with us in case we decide to ride Kali as the weather will probably be too cool to walk around in wet clothing.

Thanks Jcemom! I didn't want to "look" strange changing clothes inside the park. :D

We can't be the only ones who would change clothes at the park, right? I wouldn't find it "strange" to see someone doing that. If someone else thinks I'm strange...well, I guess I'd rather they think that than have to walk around in wet undies all day...LOL

You also could wait and change when you get to the poly. The lobby bathrooms will provide you more spacious accomodations!

I don't see any problem with changing your clothes. In fact I usually bring pants and sweatshirts for the evening since it tends to cool down and we often change. :wave2:

Tar heel-I just may do that, wait and change when we get to the hotel.

kaygela--I was also going to bring a sweatshirt/jacket for each of us to keep in a locker, just in case it gets cooler in the evenings.:D

You can also change in the Poly pool bathrooms. They are large, and have a place to put your clothes as you dress since there are showers in them. The pool bathrooms are right near the Luau. Either way, I wouldn't think it strange to see someone changing.

Thanks for the information about the pool bathrooms. I wouldn't have thought of that since we've never been to WDW before. I think I'd much rather have a more spacious area to change (I'm keeping notes). :teeth:

I believe that there's a super large BR right across from the women's clothing shop in the Poly. It might be a uni-sex BR because I think it was just for one person and had a lock on the door.

We always go to Boma after the AK. We store a change of clothes in a locker and change before we catch the bus to the AKL. I prefer jeans/dockers and a polo shirt to shorts and a tee shirt at Boma (but may people are dressed in park attire). Noone has ever thought we were strange. The guard who seached the bag last April was very familiar with the change of clothes for the evening.

absolutely nothing wrong with it! besides, it's prolly the smarter thing to do. that is, if you wanna spend the cost of getting a locker. go for it! enjoy your time!
