Is this nuts? Anyone ever do this?

Nope, wouldn't chance it if you want to eat at any TS restaurants. I consider ADRs a "necessary evil" for WDW.:goodvibes I wouldn't go on vacation without making a hotel reservation ahead of time -- just hoping to find some place to stay after I arrive. Can you imagine how much time you'd waste going around trying to find somewhere to stay? To me, it's the same with ADRs. A bit of advance planning is totally worth it. While I don't want to plan every minute of my vacation ahead of time (and hate to feel tied down to a specific schedule), I think ADRs make sense.

I say, make a few ADRs ahead of time (you can always cancel them if you change your mind!). You'll probably be really glad you made a few. Otherwise, you might be stuck with just CS restaurants.

Nicki,

I think with Todd's luck, you will be just fine going without reservations! :thumbsup2

When DH and I went last year, we had too many ADR's! We felt like we were always keeping an eye on the time :headache:

This time we swore we would just wing it - but, in the end we made 2 ADR's for our 6 day trip. One nice dinner at Le Cellier and a character breakfast on our last morning as we need to leave the resort by 10am so there was not much else to do. The rest of the time we are winging it!

When we were there in July, and it was totally crowded, we still walked up to Liberty Tree and 50's Prime Time without ressies and only had to wait maybe 15-20 minutes so we decided this would be our plan this time.
Be brave - you can do it :woohoo:

Coming in to the conversation a bit late, but agree with all the others that have said that Todd will somehow manage to get you in where ever he feels like eating anyhow! Probably even Le Cellier! :laughing:

I say go for it! You have been often enough and you know you are going back at the end of the year so if it is a disaster, you will get a do-over.

For us, we only get there once a year so I am obsessive about about our ADRs. I want to be sure we get to eat everywhere that we want to and I don't think my DH would have Todd's luck! :upsidedow

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Oh hon, you know us toooooo well! And you are right, he is never happy with what I pick for us even though he is usually the one that tells me what to book!

It is settled, we are going to do 5 days in WDW without one single reservation at all....someone help me LOL. Thats not to say we will eat just CS, oh no. I have been informed that we will still do a TS for every dinner, def a TS lunch for our departure day and maybe a TS breakfast or 2.

What did I get myself into? :scared1:

Well...it will certain make for one heckuva an interesting report! :rotfl2:
