Is this normal?

I booked our vacation back in August and now 3 days out from our 45 day mark I received a pin code. We are booked at AoA LM which doesn't qualify for any discounts, so I knew I would have to switch resorts. I called to see if I could apply the pin to our reservation and had her run the numbers on AKL

My parents and my sisters family are also going and since you can apply up to three reservations to a pin, I needed to get their info so that I could modify their ressies too with the discount. So, I had to call back. When I did, I was given a new rate that was almost a $1000 more than the first one. What gives? Is it normal to have to call a couple of times to get a different rate? Even when I run the numbers on line, I am way cheaper than what the second lady gave me.
Do I just keep calling until I get back down to the original quote I was given?

I would have said ummm no! I called and was told......My guess is you may have gotten someone new the second time and they were not applying the PIN code correctly. Call back and ask to speak to a supervisor, get that discount! Good luck!

It isn't normal - but sadly it seems to be the way the Disney Quoting system works. - I would call back and try again.

The first CM I talked to definately new her stuff. The second one didn't seem to at all. She kept trying to put the discount to AoA LM but couldn't figure out why it wasn't working! I had to tell her. I finally gave up on it. Unfortunately, I booked through runDisney so I have to make changes through them, and since I was on hold for 45 minutes, I will have to call back in the morning anyway. I just hope that it won't be to late to do anything.
But I am glad to know that it's not just me!
