We are planning our trip for late April and will be using the DDP. I called to make all our ADR's. We got everything for the week we wanted, within a ten minute time frame which I thought was great. Our last night we wanted to go to the Hoop-De-Doo. I was told that only certain sections (balcony, and second half of floor) could ADR's be made with people on DDP. I was told I could pay OOP, and use my points for other meals. They had plenty of openings if I wanted to do that. They were sold out for the whole week for the sections they are letting DDP use. This is the one show my whole family really wanted to see, and now I have to decide if I want to pay OOP for 5 of us. Has anyone had any problems with this. Thanks

This is effective with the 2007 Disney Dining Plan, i.e., for meals starting January 1, 2007.

Yes it's true & I'm not happy about it. I called 181 days out & the week was completely booked (on the DP) except 1 5:00 show that I really do not want. I've called back several times for cancellations, but no luck so far.

Like you, there was plenty availability for the week I'm going in Tier 1 but I do not want to pay OOP. I wonder what they will do with all the empty tables on the first floor?

I paid OOP for Hoop De Doo and used our credits for other meals, that was before the Tiering but I just preferred to pay cash for this meal/show. Since I didn't use dining credits I did have to pay upon reserving.

We did the same thing. It just didn't seem like it was worth wasting 2 TS credits for.
