Hi guys, I need some advice from you.We are making our first trip in Sept.We were part of the displaced CBR's so we got moved to the AKL savanna for 20 dollars more.My question is do we have enough money. It is dh,dd(6),dd(2) and myself.I have lots of gift certificates to use and some vouchers.
Pizza Hut $25.00
Rainforest Cafe $75.00
Bahamma Breeze $50.00
Mcdonalds $20.00
Burger King $15.00
Subway $15.00
webcertificate $76.00
disney dollars $72.00
gas cards $30.00 also we are taking 2 coolers to use in the room for milk, juice, drinks, sandwiches, and all that.I have 2 bfast adult vouchers and 8 Q&C vouchers. Will a $100.00 a day be enough. We wil be there 8 days with the first day and last day travel days. We're packing sandwiches and snacks to eat on for the drive down.Money is tighter than I thought.Any info is helpful.TIA April:Pinkbounc

With careful planning you should be fine with $100 per day. I always plan on $100 per day and put the leftovers in another envelope to add to other days as a treat (perhaps a more expensive meal or a souvie for the kids). Mine is also a family of four, and we rarely get out of budget. You have a good number of gift certificates. Try to have most breakfasts in the room, use your own sandwiches and snacks if you have a later dinner planned and eat at the most expensive restaurants for lunch. If you pick up a few kids feature Lunch vouchers for $12.50 you could really push the value of your RFC gift certificates. The kids get an appetizer plus the kids meal and they can have a smoothy or shake as well as dessert. With all of their food I only had to order a drink and a salad. I still have one $25.00 gift certificate for RFC which I will use over Spring Break.

You are lite on the Mcdonalds Gc,s What every you pay at home Triple that for onsite McDonalds!!

twoksmom,
We just returned last week and all we budgeted was $100 a day and we had money left over each day. Of course you won't be able to eat at sit down meals everymeal but with a little planning and some snacks you will be fine.

We are a family of 4, myself, dh, dd (4) and dd(17mon.). We went last year and usually get by on $75 a day. Dh and I don't buy souveniors and dd (4) brings her allowance to buy hers. We eat breakfast in the room and another (usually sandwiches and/or soup with a hot pot) and one sit down. We usually do the character meals. While they are more expensive, it is all you can eat plus under 3 eats free. The first time we did this I budgeted $100 and forgot to budget the hotel rooms for the night going down and coming back, but had enough left over to pay for them and a little more. I think $100 is plenty. Have a blast!!! We're going back in December!!!!

We've found RFC to have large portions. Order two kids meals and share an adult. You might actually have enough for two meals, then.

twoksmom,
Wow! You really saved A LOT of gift certificates. What a great idea.
I think you will be in great shape for what you have planned. We purchased a bunch of the Q and C certificates for our trip, too. --I am wondering how they will work out. I have been pouring over the menus trying to figure out the best place to use them. The last time we visited WDW (in June), we found that we could not eat a lot in the heat--so, I am thinking the vouchers will work out pretty good for smaller meals that are shared.
Have you figured out where you are going to eat, yet?

dcfromva, As of right now we're planing on using 2 at Beaches and cream and 2 at Pecos Bill's.From everthing I've read both of these places have good deals with the Q&C vouchers.
Thanks for everything you guys I appreciate all the responses.

$100 a day is enough. On our first trip I budgeted $100 day and had enough left over to upgrade our tickets to AP's(well almost) It was more than enough.

I think you would be just fine with 100. dollars a day considering you already quite a few gift certificates. We broought a toaster in April to All Star Sports and it saved us quite a bit on breakfast for a few mornings. Took Pop tarts and Thomas waffles, cereal and some fruit cups.
