Is this enough?

We are leaving in 9 days to go down there. Is 6 days enough time? We are going to plan for one day to each park and then one day for each park at universal. It is just me and DH going. This is our last vacation before we get pregnant so I am really excited!

I've done the 6 day 6 park thing. If you're up for no sleep, lots of walking and general exertion, and don't expect to see/do everything, then it works. But for us, but Day 3 we "hit the wall" meaning we were just too exhausted to rise before 10am and didn't hit a park until 1pm.

We also found we enjoyed Disney so much, we just did one full day at Universal. Also, EPCOT is really a 2-day park. One for FutureWorld and one for the Nations. Magic Kingdom has so many rides/attractions and tends to be the busiest that you just won't be able to even comprehend it all in one day. MGM slows you down with the showtimes. Animal Kingdom closes early in the off-season.

You know yourself well and what you can but in my case I know I can't do 6 park days straight. I do two parks and then a rest day and two more and then a rest day. Our legs and feet get grumpy if we try to do more than that. Plus, we need down time away from the crowds, the heat and the walking. I say if you can handle it, go for it.

I think we will be ok. We are very young. I'm 23 and DH is 24 will turn 25 when we are down there. I can go on as little as 4 hours sleep so that shouldn't be a problem. I know Epcot is a 2 day park but I only want to see France and Germany in the world showcase so that shouldn't be a problem.

6 days! My advice is no... But that's just me. Especially if your gonna go to Universal too! We had seven nights for March, and thought that was too short, so we added two more nights. We're very young too (I'm turning 21 and DBf is turning 26) and we've been to the World 3 times in the past year... And still theres so much to do!!! But if 6 days is all you can manage, I'd say get one heck of a plan! With one day for each park, you're gonna need it! (And invest in some comfy shoes too!!! ) Have Fun!!!

It's definitely doable. That's how we are and how our first trip was. We really don't take a day off. Maybe, sometimes on our first or last day (cause it's a half day) but we go to a park everyday. You could do a break mid-day and head back??

I couldn't do it though without some mid-day breaks and being able to park hop!

Universal is great fun too. Have fun!

It depends on how much you practice getting pregnant while you are there.

Um we won't be practicing at all. AF should show up the day we leave. LOL. I think 4 days at disney will be plenty. Lots of the stuff there is for kids anyways. I don't plan on doing any shopping at the parks. Way to expensive. Also, I don't like to ride roller coaster so while DH does those I can do other things he wouldn't want to do. Here is our Iteneray (sp?)

4th: Leaving something in the middle of the night
5th: Still driving there
6th: Arrive in Florida, going to Animal Kingdom
7th: Going to Magic Kingdom
8th: Going to MGM
9th: Going to EPCOT
10th: DH's Birthday: going to Universals IOA
11th: If we dont' do the day before, Going to the main park to Universal.
12th: Leaving, if we don't leave on the 11th.

I think it will be ok. We have a great car. It's a 2000 Bonneville SE. A GREAT car! Lots of tunes and a cooler for food on the way down and while at the parks. We have our tickets and hotel room already. We are going to be staying at the Comfort Inn- Maingate West. I can not wait to get down there.

DH and I did all 4 theme parks * Downtown Disney/Pleasure Island in 2 1/2 days (of couse we went in September when the lines were slow)...you can do it too!!!!

Our schedule was Day 1: AK, MK, and Pleasure Island, Day 2: MGM, Epcot, Illuminations, Day 3: MGM (just to ride RR coaster since it was down Day 2), Downtown Disney, Epcot, back to the hotel for a quick swim and departure in afternoon! And yes, we saw everything and rode every ride we wanted to.

Just bring a good pair of sneakers and lots of water

I am glad I can do it! We were going to go only 2 days to Disney but I thought that was cutting it short so we got rid of the park hopper pass and went for 4 days. Much cheapier that way!

We are leaving Monday, our first time We are flying in from BC and get to Florida about 7am. Is there shuttles to the hotels, we are staying at Vacation Village at Parkway. Will we need a car to get around to everything? We were hoping everything had shuttles??? Maybe just rent a car for a day or two if want to get away from DL. Does anyone have suggestions? And is it better to buy tickets on line, even if you don't know what you will be doing? We have a 12 year old boy, so thinking some stuff will be too young for him?? Thanks for any help Hope the weather is warm??

You will save money by buying your tickets ahead of time. I am not sure how much though. I am not sure about shuttles though. I know our hotel has shuttles and we are not staying on the resort. This is my first time going since I was a little kid.

Thanks umaange100 Theres so much info on here, it get confusing. Where did you buy you tickets. Are you renting a car? We staying at a time share, so no shuttles, so hoping theres a bus into town or something, dont want to rent a car for whole week.

what kind of time share did you get? I am looking for a reasonable rate on skyauction right now. I bought my disney tickets at a local disney store but you can go to www.disneyworld.com to get them. are you going to universal as well?

We own a timeshare here at Parksville and we traded some RC1 points. Our first venture into the RCI world. We don't have a disney store around here, Vancouver Island, someone told me about mousesavers.com for deals and disboards.com. They look good, I'm just worried if we buy for 6 days, will we use it all?

I wish I could find a timeshare or something for a decent rate. I shouldn't complain we are paying 45 bucks a night not including taxes and such but still it would be nice to maybe have more than a microwave and fridge. lol

We go for 5 days every year leaving on the 6th day and we go to Sea World the first day. We also go at non-busy times but last May we went, I was 22, my cousin was 20, my brother was 25, my mom was 47 and my dad was 56. It is a lot of walking but we had no problem and it feels good to go to sleep at night. I think you wouldn't have a problem. I like my vacations to constantly be doing something, I'm not much of a relaxer. Good thing there's always something to do!

Thanks, our son is 12 , is there somethings you would recommend more than others for him, its his first time.
