Is this email legit?

Just got an email from a "Universal Orlando Resort" offering Portofino Bay Hotel for $198/night with their phone # being 1-866-343-5500. Can anyone tell me if this a legit offer? So many scams and identity thieves out there, I just want to make sure. Thanks!!!

Well, a three second Google search linked that phone number back to Universal...so...I'm gonna say it's legit.

If you ever had questions just call the universal website number and reference the email

Believe me, I did google this number before I came here for help, but all I got were all these other "coupon" type websites. And since you can only reserve by phone, I just wanted to be 100% sure that it's legit...so many phone scams now a days. for your help!!!

I got the very same email!

We are going next week, but for only 2 nights. Looks like there's a 3 night minimum. We are currently booked at RPH. Would love a chance to pay $198 a night instead.

BTW--stayed at HRH within months of it first opening. Paid $99 per night...parking was $6.00.

It's a pin code good only at Sapphire Falls or Portofino. I just saved $122 over my AP rates for August. Also gives me a room upgrade because I was in a regular 2 queen and this was for a deluxe 2 queen.

I got the same email and I called and they said its only for PBH and SF and since we are already staying at RPH it doesn't help us. I was thinking of switching (still thinking) but I think I am going to stay where I am for now. If I did go with this I would save over $200 I have a rate at RPH for $247.20 a night and we are staying 4 nights. What is shying me away from PBH is the walk, and theme all though I love Italy I think I would enjoy the island theme a little more. Hoping another code comes out for RPH

If your stay is October , that is a decent rate

Prices now tend to be higher and no standards available

But who knows if the hotel is holding back with rooms or if peeps will cancel a trip and more rooms open for standard rooms

I have been to the three deluxe
Just don't like the walk or eateries at pbh
I have a couple of food allergies and can't eat much from their menus
My allergy is mushrooms and it is in a lot of their sauces

I got the same email and was tempted to change from RPR to PBH since it was only $9 more per night and my son (20) loved the hotel last time we visited, but I really like the atmosphere at RPR and the quick walk to IoA and City Walk. PBH is beautiful and we'll definitely go there to grab some food and walk around during our trip in December, but I'm happy staying with my original hotel.
